I'm still surprised Pegg is co-writing the script. I mean I know he's a HUGE SF fan (just watch Spaced for proof) but this is a big leap from his previous writing gigs.

It's the problem of making an adversary that's too strong. You then have to come up with far-fetched solutions to beat them.

They didn't even wait for the sequel to bring back Data and Kirk in the last few films. Anyway, I want the villain to be Loki. Hiddleston would work great, and it's about time we get a Star Trek/Marvel crossover. How about Guardians of the Galaxy 2: The Undiscovered Country? I'd love to see Spock interact with Rocket and Groot. The Jedi Master

So...I'm thinking 90's soundtrack for ST "3" seeing as we've already had 90's Beastie songs in the two Abrams Treks, so it seems that is Kirk's thing, like Quill's is 70s.
Let's hear some good Nirvana, Pearl Jam, STP, Smashing Pumpkins, maybe some Coolio or Metallica or Meatloaf!! "I would do anything for love...but I won't break the Prime Directive."

Hmmmm Richard Daystrom... and M5... I don't see enough there for a fill length film.. Now perhaps they can cast him as a different character that we would nopt expect.. like say Gareth of Izar

Daystrom would make a good B-storyline character. In other words, the film seems to start with that and then BAM Klingon War and then Daystrom helps make fully automated "drone" starships to help defeat the Klingons with less loss of life on the Federation side. He gets to do stuff in the beginning of the film, then later in the beginning of act 3 comes up with the solution to his faulty AI and gets the drones working under his control from the Enterprise as Kirk and company bring the fight to the Klingons. Kirk saves the day with assistance from Daystrom.

I think they need to remake Turnabout Intruder. I wanna see Chris Pine shout "MUTINY!!!" with a hysterical edge to it.
