I just saw that Alien Isolation is on sale for $12.49 until March 30th. If you have resisted buying this up until now, maybe this is the time to reconsider. Definitely the game of the year for 2014 IMHO and at this price it is a no brainer if you have the slightest interest in the Alien franchise. Just be prepared to spend a lot of time hiding/cowering in a virtual locker (as I did)...

What's the replayability on this game?

I would say pretty good, although I haven't been back to it much since I completed the campaign, which takes a long time even without all the hiding. It's tense, stressful nerve-wracking (as was the movie). If your nerves are not completely shot at the end of it, you can explore the survival mode missions, and there are some DLC's worth playing, including missions based on the Alien movie itself. Seriously, at $12.49 this is a steal.
Also consider the season pass for all the DLC, which is also on sale right now for $14.99.

I have this installed but haven't started playing it yet. I was finishing FC4 and its DLC first. Almost done with Valley of the Yetis, not sure if I'll ever finish Escape from Durgesh Prison with that 30 min time limit...I'm just not a rush-around type of person in FPS games.

I found myself hiding in lockers so often the nerves bit kinda wore off. I thought the alien AI was a little ridiculous considering you're on a floating city and he's ALWAYS walking back and forth in the two particular hallways you're near. Not a terrible game mind you, the atmosphere was great and I love a good space-station-survival game, but mind wandered to other games since release. I'll finish it eventually, for 12 bucks it's a steal.

Keyboard and mouse work like in any other first person view game. This is not a shooter, although there are guns in the game. You have to be very careful of using them though as the noise they make will attract the alien. If you are looking for a fast paced shooter, this isn't it.
The DLC addons are extra missions that are primarily there to play once you have completed the campaign. Think of the season pass as a bundle of all these extra missions in one bundle (and any new ones coming down the line are included too). For gameplay footage, just go to Youtube and search for Alien Isolation. Lots of gameplay movies there.

I just got started in the game but am not surprised there's a tie in to 'Prometheus'. The Sevastopol station is located in the Zeta Reticuli system, which is where 'Prometheus' was set, more precisely in the moon LV-223 that orbits the gas giant Calpamos. BTW, LV-426 aka Acheron, the setting for the 'Aliens' film and where the Nostromo finds the derelict ship in the first film, is also another moon of Calpamos.
The moment I heard the system name in the cinematic intro I knew what it meant, but like I said I just got started so haven't got that far.

Saves are not that bad, you have save stations where you can save the game and they are on the map so you can locate them. That is the first thing I do when going to a new area, look for the save stations.

I've noticed too that as the game progresses, they seem to be a touch more abundant. Maybe that's a misperception as once you work your way forward, you're learning how the game is played better. I agree to a degree, as a pc gamer and console gamer, I like the ability to save where ever and whenever I want. However its not set up in this game exactly how you fear it is. Its still better than a majority of console games and their ports that have and only have a checkpoint system. You'll eventually learn in Alien Isolation how and when to use the save stations. After you play awhile too, you'll begin to "sense" when you are in an in-between time/place that gives you a bit of a respite from Alien fleeing. It won't always be easy and there will be some frustration in the learning, but you'll soon learn when you should save and how in such a way as to not only save your progress, but set yourself up on a better foot for if/when you get killed again, you reload that the last save of yours. I think where it gets trickiest is when you are still learning the rooms and environment of a level. Sometimes it takes several deaths before you start memorizing it. There were some levels where I was indeed on the same level as the hunting Alien yet still able to save.(just be careful of the timing!!!) But like I said there are respites that come up from the tension of Alien dodging. As a side, the synthetics almost scare me as much as the Alien. Finally killed one for the first time today.
