Full auto, no recoil. Running and shooting. Seeing through walls your squad mates. Yep, good old Rainbow Six for sure... sigh

Ubi already stated that there will be a "hardcore" mode that removes all the HUD elements, aim assists etc. In this day and age of gaming it seems like devs need to create their games for the masses first, which I can understand from a business perspective although i may not like it. It still looks like it will be a good time playing with friends and I cant wait till play in both the Alpha/Beta and the final release.

Hardcore mode coming is good to hear.

I watched their Twitch stream of the gameplay the other day and I thought it looked like fun but the HUD elements especially seeing your teammates through walls was a total immersion killer.

For me it looks like a Counter Strike mod. Nothing more. I don't think that this hardcore mode will change anything. Removing a crossair hardly counts as hardcore... It won't change how you move or shoot. It still going to be running and shooting full auto with zero recoil. I burried this franchise along with Ghost Recon long time ago.

Where is the SP? Where's the campaign of missions linked by a story arc, featuring planning beforehand and go-code execution with AI teammates?

The hostage defend game type they're testing is pretty fast paced. Interesting with the rappelling when attacking, and fortifying points of entry when on defense. The defending team votes on where to locate the hostage in the structure, with 4-5 possible locations, so it changes up. I'm sure people will settle on which is best and that will always be the one used. Before beginning, you have a drone to run, scoping the area which is a nice use of otherwise wasted lobby time.
At least its different than COD, but hardly something that feels like it was worth waiting 7 years for.
