Just started playing this the other day. Here is a video of me cutting my teeth in Arcade battle with my brand new unlocked Panzer IV.

That was good going Feetwet. You don't mind losing when you do that well.I wish the enemy teams I play against were as oblivious to their surroundings as some of them were for you.

How many times did I try and alter the view during the first part of your video?

That's funny because I was trying to move the camera around myself while re-watching it.

I am amazed at some of the things I was able to pull off. In arcade, you have the map indicators and the vehicle icons to help you find targets but I could move around pretty unmolested. I'm sure that as I climb up through the tiers and into the Realistic/Sim area I want be quite so lucky. Right now, in these early tanks I feel like a fox in the hen house.

Yeah, low tiers have a completely different pace and dynamic. Also where I had one of my best games, netting 15 kills and completely holding the enemy in their spawn, the entire round, alone.

But once you start to climb the BR, the pace goes down, lots of sniping, sneaking and 'camping'. People also seem to be afraid of their tanks getting scratched at some point, so you even see players stay near their spawn for the entire match.

oh, the U2 is cute.. how do you get one? Sorry for the total noob question, but I don´t see it in my russian tech tree? Makes me wonder how many "special" planes there are, that don´t show up, or is it like limited time premium planes or so?

I think you had to complete a special event to get the PO-2? Wasn't it a Halloween event? Quite fitting as the Russian female pilots who flew them were called 'The Night Witches'.

Well there were 2 ways, the first was being around back when it was a starter plane, it eventually got removed, but if you had it already (which I did) you kept it, just no one new was subjected to having to fly that thing as one of your "reserves" (it was actually Tier 0 out of 20 back then lol).

Then some time back, maybe a year and half ago or so, they had it as one of their first "contests" and the requirements iirc were kinda ridiculous in the number of planes you had to shoot down to get it. Thankfully I already had it then.

Fun fact, there were 2 others removed from the tech tree, both Gladiators, the Silver one which they just had a thing so you could unlock it, and there is also one with a paint scheme from France, I'm guessing Battle of France, I'll take screenies here in a second and post them up.

Is the PO2 the one that the Germans used to refer to as the sewing machine owing to its engine note ?

I love fighting the German tanks, they are very impressive machines with a fearsome reputation... always makes me go 'oh sh@t' whenever I see one coming when I'm in my not so safe Sherman... lol!
