Forgot to say... how do you get to an outside view? Do you have to map a button?

Sorry if I wasn't clear, Ctrl+Alt+Space activates the debug cam, which can then be moved about using the flight controls. ie thrust up to move camera up. Screenshots work exactly the same as in the cockpit. Press F10 (F12 if using steam) to take a picture.

If you are in solo mode you can press Alt+F10 to get an ultra high res shot in the form of a 60MB bitmap which can then be cropped and converted however you like. That's how I do it.

You can remap the debug cam in the control settings, it may not be mapped as default.

Sorted... I have been able to dock and launch successfully, I've navigated to another star system with my hyperdrive, and travelled using super cruise FSD

LHS 3447 is a pain.There is one station (Lawson Orbital I think) that is 3,000Ls from jump-in,the rest all 110,000Ls.Glad I moved away from there.

My current trade route has 3 S/C journeys of 432/65/669 Ls.I won't consider a 100,000 + trip unless it's a big pay-off.

For me:

Under 100ly - Yeah baby!

Under 500lu - Excellent

Under 1000ly - Ok

Over 5000ly - Eh, I don't really need to go there

Over 100,000ly - Why did I take this stupid delivery mission anyway?

Still, I'm finding it's a huge enjoyment factor that's for sure... time to get a military looking skin on that Sidewinder!

And 100,000 Ls is long, but I've done 500,000 and even 850,000 several times! The ship gets moving pretty darn fast during those, 700C to 800C, so it' not more than a few minutes.
