And when I say WE... I mean the friends I would most likely play the game with... I pre-ordered it for PC months ago, but plan on cancelling that once released due to lack of friend intrest... but what about my XB1 friends, anyone decided on getting it, or waititng or what? digital pre-order available now on XB1. http://majornelson.com/2015/02/26/battle...linkId=12580488

I thought it was ok but still find BF4 Conquest Large much more fun... so I'm passing on HL for now, might pick it up at X-Mas if it's cheap and people are still playing.

I'm on the fence but leaning more towards no vs. yes.
But if enough of you guys get it, I probably would too.

I'll probably do it for PS3. Just for a giggle.

If the SP has some element of replayability, I might be more interested. Not paying $60 anymore for the right to be sworn at by 11-year-olds.

And it's really easy to mute people too in XBOne BF4, just two button presses.
I do this whenever someone in my squad and has their mic/Kinect on and not using it for tactical communication (i.e. when they don't even know it's on and all you hear is complaining or their family in the background)
But I have yet to be yelled at by anyone, the only time I actually had a problem and had to speak up was when there was a mentally challenged kid on my squad saying dumb stuff and one of the squad mates was making fun of him and cussing him out, overall though I've actually ran into a few random squadmates that were communicating tactically and we ended up connecting so we can join up in a squad other times.
The BF4 community on XBOne squad comms actually impressed me compared to all the whining and taunting I see on BF4 PC version text chat.

could be both... it's been my experience playing both on PC and XBox 360 then XB1... that it's hit and miss. If playing alone I join a server and jump from squad to squad till I find one using in game comms... I then find that if their using comms that's half the battle, a little virtual leadership... IE: calling out objective, moving from/to, Capturing B, need back up... they start coming around and the game shines... but it does take too long to find those squads, you better your chance with hardcore mode, seems to attract more team players.
Also, the latest map pack... Final Assault is probably the best map pack IMO, but I hate them because thier sniper heavy maps... and then the smaller maps like the ones from the Cinease map pack seem to cater to the run and gun.
Still not nearly as bad as CoD... I think I am completely done with that series for now on... but BF4 can have it's great moments, in many bad or time consuming finds.
imo

Yeah I agree, some people do run and gun, especially on CQB maps like Locker and Pearl Market although if people keep a decent eye on the minimap they can be stopped in their tracks, but on some maps (Locker) people don't pay enough attention to the run and gunners that sneak in from the sides, I sometimes play medic on those rounds and just drop medicine packs by the front and then setup to provide rear guard, most of the times the run and gunners aren't expecting it and you can get a good amount of kills this way.
One of the things I actually like about BF4 is it supports so many different playing styles so well, you can run and gun if you want, you can play the objectives if you want (my favorite), support class, vehicles or anti-vehicles, snipe, mine, etc...
Also I haven't found the snipers too much of an issue on XBoxOne, it seems as long as I stay on the move and weave when I run in open areas and avoid the common choke points, most have a hard time hitting me, once I get into cover I look for the scope glint and mark them and usually someone will nail them in short order if they're camping.
I don't play hardcore though so not sure how much run and gun or sniping exists there.

I'm always around... love my home... BUT, Sunday is the 1 day a week I give my wife to honey-do's and sometimes dinner or not... actually every day of the week EXCEPT Sunday I pretty much wake up, work-out, video Game, work...repeat. Sunday I usually do a Sunday Morning Motorcycle ride with wife, honey-do's, then football or auto-racing on TV... then Sunday night she watches the Good Wife, and I game... but sometimes things change and she leaves me alone to go do her own thing... ya long answer, but I was just thinking of the irony of my life with your question. So no guarantee on Sundays, especially in the AM... but almost always in the evening.
