Naples, Florida

I've lived and worked in Naples, Florida, (in Collier County... that will be important later), for over 20 years and I never knew of this awesome past, present, and future car museum till one night about a month ago I responded to an alarm call at 4 AM at the location, the manager/key holder met me, and my partner and I spent over an hour "clearing" it out. wink Didn't have my camera at the time so I finally came back today... and took almost 2 GB's of photos.

The photo files are huge, so I took a handful of some pics and resized them by 50% so I could post them here. These are just a few, no flash photography was allowed, but most, if not all, turned out well with my high end DSR Canon Rebel.

Now, what I learned is that Mr. Collier, who is now dead...so now it belongs to the Collier Family Estate, which is the family that made Collier County/Naples... what over 100 years ago or whenever... anyway... he loved cars and automobiles, he was rich, very rich and bought hundreds of cars... he owns almost every single one of these cars, with the exception of a dozen or so on "loan"... this museum started out as a indoor, air conditioned garage for Mr. Collier to store all his babies. It now is 3 stories high and holds hundreds of cars, and now a museum by appointment only.

OK... so here are a few pics, re-sized for ease of post... but don't you worry fellow car enthusiast, I have provided a link to my public dropbox, in it you will find a 7z file (I think that's it, lol) called RevsInstitute, download that file it's safe... trust me... or not. wink unzip it and inside that folder is every picture, raw, unedited and full sized that I took... enjoy, free to do whatever you want with them...no credit ever needed. (and as a bonus, a short clip of my new partner shooting a 44 magnum for the first time, yes that's my 44 Magnum... where the hell do you think my name came from... Magnujm PI? wink As most of my online friends know, I was K9 for 10 years... well since Shadow retired and recently passed, she has become my partner... and I ain't complaining... but keeping it professional. wink and BTW, just ignore all the CMBS turns.)

STILL UPLOADING, 2 GB's! I'd wait to download it tomorrow sometime. 02/25/15

That's really cool Magnum. Florida is really an interesting place (once you get past all the snowbirds).
I spent a lot of time on the east coast where Flagler who built the railroad must be a lot like (your west coast) Collier -filthy rich.

Great photos btw.
