Latest sim event (Not my screenie)

Going to have to grab parts, fpe and the new ap round for my Tiger E. Lot of Su's in there so good kills, T32 is a bit of a worry but penetrates nicely in the mantle. Is2'S can be a pain but those long reload times assure a few shots on target when they pop up. The top M4's in there are a worry as well when they have competent drivers..going to be some big wide flanks going on with no parts or fpe biggrin

You're not missing out. Nothing but OP tanks anyways. Been getting my ass handed to me in my Su85M and Sherman 76 by Tigers and Jagdpantehrs. Although I've had a few proud moments in my Su85M where I took out a King Tiger and Tiger. Very hairy moments!

Well, since I got my 'Jumbo' I managed to get into the event... but it's mega powerful enemy tanks that are almost untouchable.
Route selection is paramount, so as not to expose your vehicle, but with the enemies range and killing power, if you have to cross open ground, which sometimes you do, they just sit off in a hull down position and blat anything that comes their way.

Still, not sure what enjoyment they get out of it, as they have an almost guaranteed advantage in each and every game... but then again, I knew that when I went for the American research tree first smile
And you know what? Being the underdog and having to box clever each and every time I go out to battle, makes it so much more exciting and satisfying when I manage to catch one of those bastages unaware and give him the good news up his Jacksy!

In a squad of three tonight we went one victory to nine defeats in our German tanks biggrin The 2 up player count that the Allies get straight up is a bit rude as well as the hordes of fighter bombers that generally took out two heavies on the German side within a minute was hard to come back from. Even playing smart, big flanks and covering each other we found it really hard against the is2 mod 44's and M26's. That one victory was hard fought and lucky as we were under fire from air and ground but they came in panicky and exposed and we lucked it right on the timer. Good games but our hulks littered the field tonight biggrin

We swapped out to Shermans, Jumbo and M4a3e2 76w ..and got our asses handed to us again lol. Just couldn't get our groove on so went and gained one victory in the RB event as planes cannot fly out first... and still lost despite giving them a good run for their money. T44's man.

Got my first Panther & Tiger kills last night. Let me tell you, when you're in a Su-85M and these guys rumble towards you you're butt puckers up just abit!

The "battle" of the night was when I was situated in my Su-85M watching a crossroads in the Kuban map. Twisting, turning hills that screams CQB. Is-2s and Pershings were battling a horde as I watched their right flank. Sure enough about 600m ahead rumbled a Tiger and King Tiger side by side. Luckily I was situated just low enough they couldn't see but the top of me. They crept closer and got within 400m of me when something to their right garnered their attention.

The King Tiger rotated his turret a perfect 90 and gave me the shot I needed. My TD lurched forward and I put an 85mm AP into his side turret. Not a fatal hit but crippling. The KT immediately backed away and the Tiger surged forward firing at me. The shot landed short and gave a chance to hit back. I hit him with the 85 but he shrugs it off. I back up and lay low. A shot hits my top but glances off doing no damage. I sit still. Another shot misses high.

I check him out with my binocs when all of a sudden a M22 Locust screams into view hounding the Tiger. Its catches 100% of the Tigers attention, apparently the Tiger commander thought me to be crippled. The Tiger turns his turret to answer the new threat. I push forward and aim. BOOM! Perfect hit in the side of the turret. Dead Tiger and soon enough the King Tiger joins him as he is swarmed by Is-2s and Pershings that finally have pushed back the invaders.

biggrin
