Talk about being in the right place at the right time.
I Seriously considered taking up photography a few years ago
But I came to the conclusion I did not have the eye for it.

Its not photo shopped here's the article.

That's cool. I wonder how that came about.

Weird! It kind of reminds me of that video of a deer which suddenly snatched at and swallowed a bird.

I took this picture about 10 years ago in my backyard using one of those first digital cameras.

No, it's not photo shopped.

Nice pic CG2015.

Question for you budding amateur photographers.
If a complete newbie to photography went out and bought a really expensive digital camera with all the bells and whistles
IE, you can set everything to automatic. LoL
Would it put him on equal terms. In terms of picture quality as say a talented Amateur With a less sophisticated camera, some people just have an eye for capturing the moment so no amount of money spent would Equal that.

Weasels can be jerks but they're entertaining to watch when they're screwing around

Saw a weasel and big tomcat in a fight once. The cat was many times bigger than the weasel but the weasel just had no fear and was giving the cat a really hard time. I thought the cat was done when the weasel managed to get on the cats back and started gnawing on the back of the cat's neck. But the cat made a crazy twist of it's body , got the weasel's head in it's front paws and then ripped it open with it's hind claws. Craziest thing I ever saw.

It depends what you're trying to shoot, you can buy a $3K dollar camera but if you don't know how to shoot w/it (off auto) you're just taking snap shots. You also need to have an eye for it if you want your shots to be different for landscapes.

My GF just got a Nikon 5300 for our AZ trip in April, she's taking a camera course to not only learn the basics of photography, Shutter priority, Aperture priority, rules of thirds, but also learn her camera and what it can do.

It also comes down to knowing the limitations of your equipment. GF only got a kit lens with the body, 15-70mm, she can't shoot anything distant because she doesn't have enough reach. I only have the Nikon 7100, but my lens is a Sigma 50-500 and that allowed me to get this shot last week.

Now I was just lucky walking up on this fresh kill, but without a tele lens it would just be a spec.

That pic I posted I took with one of those digital cameras they had back then - the kind you can't even change the lens on.

Humming birds aren't skittish at all, especially when being fed. I've had a friend put the feeder right in her hand and taking pics of them feeding from it.

That's a real nice pic CG
