At some stage a bug that we found in 140 was traced back to 1.29 and it had been there in several versions. I have very little 1.29 code on this laptop so I may not have the corrected version of 1.29 that I made. The bug was the loss of the line that unloaded low res tiles. So, if you use the ETO "dir.set" (with the seasons folder) and fly a winter mission then switch to a different season without leaving the game, you will still see some snowy LR tiles. Also a reminder, just in case, that 140 has the extra mission type and an extra line in the "part two" loadout file for the torpedo mission. Jel

The seasons folders was something I was wondering about. How do these work?
If a theatre folder referenced by a "dir.set" file contains a "seasons" folder such as the "ETO_01" folder then the exe will make use of it. The "seasons" folder should contain "Spring", "Summer", "Fall", "Light_Winter" and "Winter" folders. The exe will select the appropriate one based on the mission date, and use the terrain files that are in the one it has selected.

Was the torpedo mission active in the last 129 exes?
Not exactly, although Ralf has had torpedo missions running since 1.28c I think. The change I made was to have the new mission type with a loadout reference specifically for torpedo missions in multiplayer. In the earlier situation the set-up for some planes gave torpedoes when you selected "bombs" for a particular online mission, such as a ship interdiction. However, it would be likely that you got torpedoes if you selected bombs for the same plane in a different mission. That was OK if the online mission was a ship interdiction, but a bit strange if the online mission was to bomb a factory or an airfield. The fix is specifically related to multiplayer which has limited loadout choices, and makes use of what was the "second part" of the old "loadout.dat" file. It does not come into play with single missions where the player can select the loadout that they want from the range of options available what was the old "first part".

Now that you have the FTP set up it would be useful to upload problem scenarios so that I can see for myself what is happening, and hopefully find out why. What you describe suggests that the loadout file is not being read from the plane folder. I think you posted elsewhere, but I cannot find it, so which file is it, and in which theatre?
