Join us for some play tonight! Be sure to download and install the community made map we are running:

http://insurgency.gamebanana.com/maps/183010

Download from the link above, extract the ZIP file and installed the three map files to the following path:

...\Steam\steamapps\common\insurgency2\insurgency\maps

I tried to get the autodownload feature working, but it's not optimal IMO. It did work, but the unzipped map was near 100MB, and was taking ages to download from the server. It can be optimized with compression and external file hosting, but that's something I'll have to further investigate.

Anyway, see you there!

I took the liberty of downloading some of the top rated workshop maps as well but have yet to try them. I'll let everyone know how they play when I get a chance. See you guys tonight/soon!

I've got a bad feeling about this.....

Thanks for the great games tonight! Sorry I had to bail but that's life with a 3 year old! Looking forward to making this a weekly adventure.

Very fun play last night. The AI are IMO fantastically improved, and they were already great.

Station is a tense map with a full server. I'm looking forward to playing it again.

Tell, Depot, Kandagal, Dry Canal and Embassy are all pretty good maps as well. All are on par with Station and were winners in mapping contest Station was a part of. In any case a couple other maps to look into........

Thanks, yea, some good ones there. I've looked at several of those, and I'll pick one and post it for next week.

After spending more time with the maps I mentioned previously Depot is by far the best. Its a large urban/CQB map and is really well done. The others are decent too in their own ways. I have a server in my favorites list now that has a ton of custom maps in the rotation and workshop set up to let clients D/L maps. Some pretty neat maps out there but some pretty bad ones too. I'll definitely give a heads up on any I think would be a good addition to our weekly sessions.
