Remember when this guy did the walk, was the news of the country. Where no man would in his right mind want to take a walk.
Having said this, the history of this event pre-dates 911 by so much, that I can find it difficult for make a reference to it since it happened so long before the 911 event itself.
It might be a way to remember his stunt, not the tragedy. Its what I see from it. Not the windbag after.
Anyone remember the skit on I think SNL back in late 2001 about them changing the 1970s King Kong with new voiceovers and edits to make it seem like Kong was on the Chrysler building instead? Even then they realized that people were being a little oversensitive to things that were unrelated to the tragedy.

I remember the indignation displayed by some when LOTR part 2 was about to be released, and New Line Cinema dared to use the same title that Tolkien used: "The Two Towers".
Silly. And a little far-fetched.
Imagine our society being as "sensitive" to every tragedy throughout human history. For starters, there wouldn't be a movie called "Ice Age".
Why men throw their lives away attacking an armed Witcher... I'll never know. Something wrong with my face?

Unfortunately every country has its hang ups and political correctness with certain historical events that were negative for that country.

Oh I fully agree with you Jayhawk. As we see all the time, political correctness often goes to extremes.

Check out the true story, Man on Wire . Great documentary. Amazing stunt, and I didn't know that it had been unofficial, covert, guerrilla, whatever. I really have to see the movie now.

I am not talking about that. I felt the same way. My beef with this trailer was that several shots which were what the victims would have seen as they dove out the windows near the top of the towers.
