Just wanted to chime in on this; bad idea. Not doing crew training regularly is a huge mistake.

Each to his own... smile
I don't do any crew training and have racked up 60 kills in simulator battles in the last couple of weeks, so seem to be doing ok.

It's a great skin that's for sure. That and the next Sherman have been my favourite and most successful tanks in American lineup. Hull down, shoot, reverse a tad, load, move forward just enough to pop a shot, rinse and repeat.

But that doesn't mean anything, really. I bagged hundreds of kills the past two weeks alone. Crew training is crucial because it increases your survivability, so crew members can actually survive more and thus your tank can take more punishment. It increases your precision, meaning you will reach a point where shots will always land where you aim when shooting at long distances, as opposed to "nearly where I aimed", which is important when aiming for tiny weak spots at 1500m+

It decreases your repair time which has saved my ass numerous of times. It improves your driver's skills, meaning you drive faster, turn faster and reverse faster. You can hear it straight away when someone hasn't trained their driver; transmission groaning, sometimes the tank won't respond properly, won't get into gear and lose that extra burst of acceleration etc.

You are gimping yourself and worst of all, gimping your entire team because you are running an untrained crew.

I mean, it's literally a 10 second job of moving a few relevant sliders to the right, every few rounds (or longer), to get a better tank. The crew's skill even carry on to the next tank assigned to that crew. A spaded crew will run rings around a non-trained crew any day of the week.

Eh, guess I just don't get it. Each to their own as you say smile

I rack up some kills... I certainly haven't got 'hundreds' in only two weeks, lol!
You must be playing 24-7... smile

I enjoy playing the game... (and it is a game) just for fun. I'm not out to prove anything to myself or anyone. I've commanded a real tank for years, so this is in no way anything like that.

But like you said, it's just a few sliders to move every now and then, so I'll take a look thumbsup

Yep, hoping I will be able to do something similar with a Sherman Firefly at some stage this year smile

I've just started to train my crews,I mean I need some sort of edge,I'm getting mullered most of the time.

I did notice something over time and that was during the 'kill-cam' quite often an enemy player seemed to place a second shot in the exact same place as the previous. Are the game mechanics that good that you can do that or am I not understanding what the kill-cam is showing me? Obviously a very skilled enemy rather than good luck I assume.

Ok... all research complete on all US vehicles in tiers 1 and 2 smile

Starting concerted research on tier 3... which is good as there are six US vehicles in that tier that I have access too! Lots to do biggrin

Hi all... smile
As the T-50 was included in the latest SB event I thought I'd give it a whirl.
Have to say, what a super little tank this is to run around in. I found myself having great fun!
I'd cut around the battlefield, hunting down those German flak wagons and light armour... even bumped into Tigers but was quick enough to just out run them before they could get their turrets round (most of the time)... lol!
Also good at getting to capture points quickly as well, then bugging out hopefully before the enemy turned up...

I think the decal is placed where the shot entered... but on replay cam, the decal is in place BEFORE the shot comes in. That's why.
