The 'Grind' continues...

Fighting the war with this at the moment... I still get killed, alot!

It has now become 'The Grasshopper' Not hopping around enough to stop getting dead however...

Progress... The Sherman in research.

Gentlemen... do feel free to report your progress with your own words and images smile

Simulator mode is definately more fun for me, even though I die for the cause on many an occasion... hahaha!
It's good fun, carefully moving into position in dead ground or screened by something, observing the ground, potential threats or an ongoing battle and trying to move or engage without getting dead... quite good on the old tension front I have to say.

My current monster. Loves killing everything but the M26. I see a M26 I get outta Dodge!

And my backup ole trusty StugIIIG. Love her.

The latest addition, the PzIVG. Used her a couple of times and done very well. Not a bad tank.

Nice Graf!... I'm spending all my energy on the Ami's at the moment, trying to get something decent.
I have no doubt you will be blowing holes in me soon!

My current German tanks of choice.

Panther D , Rank 3

Tiger II(P) , Rank 4

Pz.IV F2 , Rank 2 , 300 tanks destroyed in Simulator Battles , 'TAKE IT' wink

Tiger H1 , Rank 3 , my personal camo 'The Catcher in the Rye"

When I feel brave enough to go hunting big cats.

T-34-85(D-5T) , Rank 3 , quite capable , can kill a Tiger from the front.

IS-1 , Rank 3 , I call him 'Józek' , Polish for Joe. Tough bugger , nomen omen.

Currently working on this tank , should have it in around 10 won games , so 10000 RP left to research.

IS-2 , Rank 4

What a gun wink 27 seconds reload time.

Enjoy smile

Current sim setup is M4a1 76 with the P40E as fighter cover. I normally go Tank, Fighter, Tank in battles.

Russia i am using my old trusty t34/57 and Su85 with the Il2. Similar Forest camo but with a star on top of turret for our air force peeps.

German i am struggling with in the latest event. My PZ M and G keep getting one shot so i'm thinking of taking the Hetzer and Stug for a run tonight.

Bit annoyed as i just finished Grinding out the new Tiger in the last event and now there is no event for it, bastids ! Need to wait for an event to take it out for her maiden run as i don't to be getting uptiered and clubbed in my new shiny machine.

America grinding the T32, Russia the IS2 mod44 and Germany the last Panther in the line. Have the American Bulldog but never played it yet, need to take her for a battle and see how mad that 72 k's an hour feels !

Lovely stuff Ajay!... Must say, I'm not overly interested in obtaining the post war vehicles as they are not my bag.
I'd like to see some American Tank destroyers though... The M10, or the M18 Hellcat, maybe the M36 Jackson as well... smile

I hear ya. I'm loving the Tier III BR 4.7-5.0 vehicles. Good balance amongst both sides.

I've been sniping with the Su-85 in this latest event. TDing better suits my style of play. biggrin

I may have to get my minions to research the Russian tech tree! That SU85 looks the mutts nuts. It's my favourite TD in WoT along with the SU100.

Comrades,I need the SU85 by the end of the week or it's off to the Gulag with you! salute

I'd love to see set piece battles just using two sides, all with correct markings for the period... That would at least visually give me that 'being there' feeling.
You know what I mean... Eastern front with just jerries and ivans.
Normandy, with jerries and ami's, (or British vehicles, when we get them)

Grinding to achieve that status with a more realistic battle set would then mean something!

Same here tho the current event is close. Though I understand why they do it. Keeping events only open to American tanks vs German tanks shuts out guys who've only researched Russians or vice versa. I wish they would make a Normandy only event. My take is I wish they'd allow Tigers or Sherman 76s but restrict their numbers. Limit the German team to possibly only 2 Tigers out of a possible 12-16 tanks and doing the same with the Shermans. Tactics would prevail and add a whole new experience to the game.

I'm like AJay in that I normally have historical markings on my turrets or hull as well as something on top to aide my brothers above me from accidentally bombing me. Hate seeing tanks with pinups all over the turrets or some rainbow crap. I get it but hate seeing it.

Me too... but it makes it that little bit more satisfying when I blow some tank to pieces that is covered in 'pop art'... lol!

Yes she does... nothing too exotic mind. Don't want to give those big cats a better aiming mark!

Also been having fun with the M-22, and it's a fast little thing!

Er,... just to go off on a complete tangent, I thought I might do a few missions with an AA half-track.
It was actually very good fun! Sim Battles, tier 1... charging around the undergrowth, tracks and woods, hiding behind cover, folds in the ground etc, quite a challenge!
