Am d/loading PWCG as I type. I noticed a box below, which mentions "PWCG GUI Mod for RoF 1.31b and PWCG latest". What's that all about? and what is RoF 1.31b?

Cheers

The GUI mod is a modification to a couple of RoF screens that allows you to move between PWCG and RoF seamlessly. The GUI mod is a modification to RoF and not PWCG. It has to be updated for each RoF release.
1.31b is the latest RoF release so the GUI mod available from the PWCG web site is compatible with the latest RoF.

AnKor85 has released PWCG_GUI_1.32.zip for getting ROF_v1.032 to run with the RofCampaign15.1. Will you be updating the PWCG website with the link to latest GUI Mod file?

RoF web site link is beyond ancient. We have asked them to either take it down or - better - link to the web site above but it hasn't happened yet.

Thanks for the campaign generator, amazing work.
Would you mind updating your first post with the new link above? Got me confused and took some time until I realised that the Wings of Honor site is not getting updated with the new versions.
Thanks in advance.

I usually post at the RoF forum, but for those that don't visit work on PWCG continues. 15.6 is out with improved graphics and music by Matt Milne. 15.7 with some more skins and other improvements should be out this weekend.

Recently we have been developing skins and the ability to use them in game. The idea is to have individual pilots have individual skins. The skins are historically accurate or, at worst, plausible. They are not the over the top stuff, just simple stuff like an individual letter, number, or marking. When 15.7 comes out there will be over 500 new skins introduced into the game.

A quick note for those who do not visit the RoF board:

Up to version 15.10 now. New features include infantry charging across NML, static planes on airfields, more transport to shoot up, ability to assign personal skins to your squadron, and lots more skin available.

Thanks, Paddy (if I may wink )

I'm about to reinstall this, having been unable to get up enough enthusiasm to face Georgia etc yet again in DCSW or find stuff to do yet again in FSX.

I haven't flown for 2 years, but the current sale reminded me about RoF and that, unfortunately, I already have bought everything allied for it!

So - a quick shoot through the training campaign again, just to re-acquaint - and them I'm getting stuck into a campaign, courtesy of your ace mod!

Thank you. thumbsup

Hey guys! I'm having a few problems with PWCG and was I was hoping someone could shed some light on what I might be doing wrong.

First off, my ROF is updated to the latest version, 1.033, my PWCG is version 15.10.1, and my PWCG GUI version is 1.33.

The first issue is that the GUI isn't working. I have the PWCG_GUI_MOD_1033 folder extracted to my main ROF directory, but when I start ROF, there's no PWCG button to click.

Second is the long loading times. When I select my campaign in PWCG, or do anything else, for that matter, it takes literally 2-3 minutes to load the next screen. This includes selecting my campaign, going to the Missions page, or trying to go to the Combat Report page after a mission. Everything takes around 3 minutes to load.

Finally, I started a campaign with Jasta 2, and our first mission was a Balloon Bust. It was a FANTASTIC first mission, though the balloon was not destroyed. We encountered enemy planes before we got to NML, and I shot down three DH2's and a Sopwith Pup, all behind our own lines. When I ended the mission, however, and went to the Combat Report page, it gave me an error message telling me that I needed to edit my Startup.cfg so that it said Mission_text_log = 1. Problem is, I already had, and I double-checked just to make sure. So I never got to claim those four kills. As a matter of fact, it's as if that mission never happened, since I'm still at 0 missions flown, and this next one is an intercept.

Can anyone please help me with these? That first mission was already MUCH better than the stock career, and I would love to keep flying the PWCG, if I can get it to work. Thanks guys!!

Not sure how to work this. I downloaded the main file but when I tried to download the GUI it was not available. Also I put the main folder in my ROF files but not sure how to start or activate this mod.

Update: I was not getting all the files. I tried three times to download from from the site but they all stalled and when I checked the zip properties found only 2.83 mb rather than the 38 or so mb I needed. I finally downloaded an older version from the ROG site and it works ok but really want to know how to get the newer beta version.
