Personally I think the actual game image is better then the "movie" effect... what do you think?

(no other altercations or mods, just the "movie" mode filter.)

I like the regular look, but I'd crop out the UI and text...

ya, i would if I was presenting it somewhere... was just testing the movie effect.

Is there a middle ground ? Top one looks too bright (if it is like that all the time)

I prefer the slightly washed out colours of the movie effect.

Movie effect is too washed out... If I had to choose it would be the top one

I prefer the non-movie screenie Mags, the movie effect looks odd to me.

Right that's it, I'm modding my Combat Mission install for the first time.


(Except the slaughter Magnum cheat mod I ensure is installed with each iteration )

Ya, the old movie mode was good for WW2 games, but not the modern...

Trust me, I know about those mods, and have been wanting to install them, but so many, and most links I find don't work... been waiting for someone to release a more compact mod and put it up on Battlefront or somewhere that they work.

Not quite sure why you can't get the links to work as I am using the same ones you are probably looking at over on the Battlefront Forums. I try every mod that comes out to see what it does and if I like it I keep it. If you want I can zip all the mods that I use in one folder for you and send you a single link to the file. All you would have to do (depending on which method you mod your game) is unzip the file and drop everything into your mod folder.

The CMBS respository is up on the Battlefront site but most guys still use Dropbox (or something similar) as the BF Repository is very dated and not user friendly at all. I am zipping my stuff now for you (3.5 GB of files)

I had problems downloading Kieme's mods on the first day, I think he was using a new file service, but he got the problems ironed out and I've downloaded all his mods for CMBS in that thread with no issue.

I just look on that thread every couple of days and download whatever is new that he posted, very talented modder, really adds to the immersion.

Thx, but I will have to select which ones... error message, "trying to use more GPU's then you have"... which is a GeForce GTX670 w/ 2 GB video RAM, but guess thats too much.

ahh... just lowered to balance and it was good to go... incredible mods there, the radio traffic and then the solder saying "ah come on man, what the F" lol
