A really pretty game. I'm tempted to pick it up. But I'm concerned by the whole "always online" multiplayer aspect. How much of a single player game can you make it? (Yes I don't play well with others.)

All right, sweethearts, what are you waiting for? Breakfast in bed? Another glorious day in the corps! A day in the Marine Corps is like a day on the farm. Every meal's a banquet! Every paycheck a fortune! Every formation a parade! I LOVE the corps!

Well, the whole game is there... or going to be- as it is still actively developed and will be for a decade or so.

But I digress. The whole game can be played just by yourself.
You see there are three modes of playing.

Solo- It's just you, the universe, and the NPCs.
Private- It's just you, the universe, the NPCs, and any friend you allow in. Pretty cool.
Open- It's you and the Universe.

That said, depending where you fly you may happen to never find another human- Space is REALLY big. REEEEAALLY big.
Lately I've been playing in an area slightly off the "crowded" center and for a week I never seen any Human Player.

smile Good thing is you can pass from a mode to the other with three clicks and a keystroke.
What's more troublesome, for someone, is the fact you have to be ONLINE to play, but the good news is that if you play SOLO ONLINE the bandwidth required is ridiculously low.

I played with my phone in tethering. Works like charm.
Give it a try.

Or ask me more smile I'm here.-

I can count how many players I have seen on both hands, But I tend to play the fringe systems due to how I enjoy playing...
Open play is worth it just to know you could be jumped by a player, but its super unlikely

Wedding barge? biggrin

Looks great, but I think I will wait until planetary landings and atmospheric flying are possible. That'll really hook me.

Some of my pics from the last weeks

This last one was especially amazing to watch, the star was shining directly into the letter boy, so you could see this image of it wandering over the inside of the port, you could even identify the shadows of the ships going through the slot. I sat there for minutes, just watching this fascinating stuff. Well done ED Devs.

Awesome. How do you rate Asp handling?
How did you kit it out?

It`s a good ship. Unfortunatly 1.1 made the engines much quieter, I loved its sound.

It`s handling quite well, not as agile as a Cobra, but close. It`s a big target though, so even you have immensive firepower, you still have to keep an eye on the shields, as even scratching the paint is quite expensive. I was happy when I killed a Cobra with a 15k bounty only to find out 10% hull costs 22k to repair.... oops

I`m still at the beginning of outfitting it, ATM it has 88 tons cargo and some stuff upgraded to D. I plan to outfit it as a discoverer/miner on the long run, but this might take some time as I decided not to grind anymore, so I`m doing this and that and don`t care too much for the money.

I am not allowed to post my screenshots here due to the immense awesomeness of those pictures.

Just take my word for it that this game rawks.

Thank you.
