I don't want to give away the farm but Pol said it would be okay if I posted a video and a few pics. I've been flying with the Beta version of AnKors Skyline Removal mod and you can get a feel for what it does for the sim in the video below.

Please pardon my horrible flying - it turns out that switching to third person views while in combat for cinematic effects completely throws off my timing and sense of enemy locations while in combat. None-the-less, I hope that you will enjoy this brief view into AnKors Skyline Removal Mod, which is still a Work In Progress and not representative of the final quality.

Each person must of course come to their own conclusion on what it does for the sim, but for myself, I must say it brings the immersion of WOFF to yet another level beyond what we have experienced thus far. Having now flown a few actual campaign missions with the mod (the below is from a Feb 20th, RNAS-1 Campaign mission) I can honestly say I wouldn't want to fly without it.

I did enjoy it! It looks to be yet another in a long line of improvements to an already awesome sim! I enjoyed it all the more as I have been getting positively murdered by German two seaters in my little DH2 ( even with rear guns set to "Less Accurate" they still seem to have Robocop accuracy...) and it does my heart good to see someone later along in the war who can persecute them with a little extremer prejudice than I can at the moment (even though you got nicked, you gave as good as you got!) Were those the modded arty bursts, by the way?

WOFF deserves this. It always seemed a shame that people who saw me flying in OFF would always pick up on the skyline, while I was trying to explain how much had been achieved to create OFF from the basic CFS3.

As a WIP I have to say that there are times the line is still visible, but not nearly as pronounced as it was before, IMHO. AnKor's still working on it though and even for what it is, I feel it is a vast improvement for immersion.

Terrific mod! I'm for it. Nice flying there around the mid-point when the Alb. was falling away. Looks like he's going down. Your throttle-stick-and-rudder work kept him out in front. I saw some blood on goggles. Did you get tagged by the flak burst around 6:20?

OT but what's your problem with zooming, Trooper? How are you doing it now?

Just interested if I can help, because I've got zoom mapped to a slider on the throttle of my X52 Pro, and it works fairly well.

Don't think I have a spare slider to map it to... in other sims, I simply map it to a couple of buttons near my thumb where I can zoom in or out smoothly by keeping brief pressure on either button.
Those same buttons only allow me to zoom in or out in increments with WoFF at the moment... unless I've missed something obvious (which is always very possible... lol)
