Hi!

I just saw yesterday Wilco's NextGen CRJs, and it gave me an idea.

3d cockpit and sounds are spot on, and they are quite the same as my job's Challenger.

For now, there is only a freeware CL604 wich is okish but could use those sounds and cockpit.

So, would it be possible if I buy the package from Wilco, to take their sounds and 3d cockpit, and put it in the CL604 instead of the one comming with it?(I don't intend to share the final product, it would be only for me)

If it's doable, is it complicated? Is there some tools to help me?

Thx!

Mix and match all you want as long as you don't sell it. No idea how to though. Most of the time i try it fails.

As I understand it - modifying and adding a VC to another payware aircraft is very difficult - if not impossible.

Sounds on the other hand are very simple.
Open up the sound.cfg in notepad and modify the text to this:

[fltsim]
alias=CRJ\sound

The Blue Text must be the exact name of the aircraft you are pulling sounds from.

For example if I wanted to use the default FSX 737 sounds in another aicraft, the sound.cfg would look like this:

[fltsim]
alias=B737_800\sound

hope that helps.

I'm sorry but I don't know where to find the sound.cfg

in the aircraft.cfg it's like that

Quote:
[fltsim.2]
title=cL604_FURG
sim=604_9
model=
panel=cl604x
sound=
texture=CFURG
kb_checklists=cl604_check
kb_reference=cl604_ref
atc_id=Q10
ui_manufacturer=Bombardier
ui_type=Challenger 601
ui_variation=Gouvernement Québec

and

Quote:
[fltsim.0]
title=Wilco - CRJ 700 house
sim=CRJ700NG
sound=
model=700
texture=house
atc_airline=
panel=
kb_checklists=BombardierCRJ700_check
kb_reference=BombardierCRJ700_ref
atc_id=CRJ7
atc_flight_number=700
atc_heavy=0
ui_manufacturer=Bombardier-Wilco
ui_type=CRJ 700NG
ui_variation=House texture
ui_typerole="Regional Jet"
ui_createdby="Wilco Publishing"
visual_damage=1

but in the main FSX sound folder or plane sound folder there is no .cfg, only .wave

So in the CL604 aircraft.cfg, @
Quote:
Sound=
should I put:
Quote:
CRJ700NG
?

If you open up the CL604 aircraft folder there should be a "sound" folder. The sound.cfg should be in there. Can you confirm it's there?

You don't need to do anything with the aircraft.cfg or anything in the main fsx sound directory.

Also, by the sounds of it - you can add a default FSX VC to your challenger. Maybe the default CRJ700 might fit the bill?
I've never tried this - but here is a tutorial:

yes there is one, I looked too quickly.... duh

I put it like this
Quote:

[FLTSIM]
-product_code=FSIM
alias=Wilco CRJ 700NG\sound

will test if it's working.

Thank you

EDIT: ok it works THANKS!!!!!! I have some proper TF-34 sounds!!!

But in the Wilco's CRJs there are GPWS sounds(altitude calling: 1000' / 100/50/40/30/10) and I don't get that in the CL-604.
Do you know what should I do?
