The CNN coverage of flight 370 got to be way too much speculation and way to dominating though out the month after the jet went missing. I remember Don Lemon proposing time warp and bermuda triangle theories to a panel of experts...the smirk on the face of the woman expert was priceless.

I can't remeber her exact responce, but I laughed.

Exactly. Can't even quote all the people above whom I agree with. OvS, my son-in-law remarked that a passing snow shower is now reported as "freezing white death from the skies!" And all of the weathermen now, instead of just being weathermen, preside over "Storm Center 11" or "Severe Weather Center 12" just to name two from my area.

Makes you think that they are setting themselves up for the "Boy that cried Wolf". When there is finally a bad storm coming, nobody will pay the report any attention!

We just have a weather rock hanging on a length of twine from the south eave of the house. I can look out the kitchen window in the morning and tell the weather at a glance.

If the weather rock is wet, it's raining.
If the weather rock is dry, it's not raining.
If the weather rock is white, it's snowing.
If the weather rock is shiny, it's icy.
If the weather rock has a shadow, it's sunny.
If the weather rock is swinging, it's windy.
If I can't see the weather rock, it's foggy.
If the weather rock is gone entirely, it's a tornado.

The press has to prove global warming! It's like a husband telling his wife he doesn't have a mistress when he comes home with lipstick on his collar. Say it often enough and she'll eventually believe it's not a lie!

I blame global warming on both the press AND the government, particularly Congress. The lot of them generate enough hot air to power the nation. We should put a giant propeller beanie on the dome of the US capitol to capture all that energy!
