I started playing this game on Saturday and the story and gameplay is so over the top that it's actually fun!

I'm convinced that the guy you play as (Rico) was inspired by Al Pacino. He sounds and looks like him. biggrin

Bit late to the party, huh? wink

The game is a ton of fun, and Rico gets more crazy as you progress...

Definitely! I was busy with other games and I finally bought JC2 when it was on sale really cheap. I think I paid 4 bucks.

I bought it for $2 on Steam Summer Sale 2 years ago, but darn thing won't work with my Logitech gamepads, and keyboard is awkward for this game. Anyone get around this?

Isn't there a software around which pretends a MS Gamepad from various other input?

The game is indeed a bit clunky with the mouse and keyboard but I'd rather put up with that than use a fricking gamepad.

I think Batman AC spoiled me with Gamepads for action games. I'm a gamepad fan now.

There's nothing quite like grappling an airliner as it takes off. smile

This game has reminded me a lot of the original Far Cry.

Thanks!
Now, if I get thru the 20 other games I have neglected, I'll give it a try.

This made me hate the game in many instances. On the other hand, the map is huge. Not much to do in it but blow things up, but I did love driving around the city. The map as a whole had a lot of varied areas and places to explore to. The side missions probably took longer than the campaign and were mostly well done. On the same level as the campaign missions. There was a variety of targets to.

JC2 is great fun. One of the few games I bothered to play all the way through to the end.

There's a first person mod that works pretty well.

FIFA or PES soccer games are the only thing I use game pads for on my PC. But I digress.

I have JC2 but haven't really played it a lot yet. Thanks for the reminder.

The grappler is a great innovation.....one that Bulletstorm picked up on well too.

I don't know, I don't think the game really suffered from being in 3rd person, and some of the stunts with the grappler wouldn't work as well in 1st.

I originally played this with mouse and keyboard. I picked it back up and started using my gamepad that I'd been using for some other games and it plays much better.

There are still some things that only a mouse and keyboard can do and should but a game controller to me is almost essential for certain games now. I've been playing pcs and consoles for twenty years so I use and need both.

I think in some game you're actually doing yourself a disfavor if you don't at least try a gamepad as some games become so much more playable because of the ergonomic interface it provides. You should try it Panzer.
