It shows that his bow is strong enough to pierce chainmail, gambeson and the target underneath.

Shooting arrows out of the air is impressive under any circumstances.

He is skilled, that is for sure and it must have taken a lot of practice to get there.
just wondering what the strength of his bow is, those arrows are not going very far into the target at all, I use a 60lb draw bow and I'm worried about my arrows going right through my back stops.
I have a 5" thick compressed straw target boss and my arrows go through and stick about 7" out the reverse face of the boss. Heh, I've got a crossbow with a 90 kg (200 lbs in the old numbers) pull and I used to worry the arrows would go through small trees.

Agreed. Pretty insane skills. Though I couldn't escape the thought that for such a badass thing to be doing I can't imagine him looking less badass. Is it me or did anyone else expect him to finish with a pirouette at some point and the fourth position ? (yes I had to look that up)
No, now go away or I shall taunt you a second time!

He has skills, but certainly lacks grace, yes!

Heh, I've got a crossbow with a 90 kg (200 lbs in the old numbers) pull and I used to worry the arrows would go through small trees. My 60lb draw bow will put an arrow right through a car door without any problem. My bow generates around 68ft/lb of energy Using my thick heavy aluminium shafts @ 260ft/s(=177mph=285km/h), or using the light weight carbon shafts @ 305ft/s (=208mph=334km/h) it would be some feat to catch them.

Lars has been fairly well-known in archery circles for a while now since his exploits and yeah, he's one butt ugly dude.....but very skilled [edit] though definitely not as powerful as Alicatt going by his numbers

I think it depends on the size of the arrow magazine and if the crossbow is fully automatic or not.

The Jedi Master All bows are full automatic military hardware. Gulag comrade. Laws vary from state to state on use but they are not illegal. Bow hunting feral animals is allowed. I can walk into several camping stores here and buy a bow and arrows, only a few months back my partner and i went and brought slingshots..crows..and we tested a few bows out at their in store range, good fun. Crossbows need to be licensed. I remember we used to do archery classes at high school in the eighties but i don't think they it anymore over here excepting at school camps.

Not to poo-poo on it, but aside from the goofy parkour thing he has going on the rest is fishy as well http://geekdad.com/2015/01/danish-archer/ETA: A good analogy I heard was it's a bit like comparing an Olympic shooter to a guy popping balloons with blanks in a revolver.
