There wasn't any specific time frame mentioned for Normandy's release, was there?

I'd rather have that they're quiet about the aircraft and only have press releases when there is actual information, than that they give us something which blows the hype out of proportion. They have no clue when the F/A-18 will be "finished", and I'm glad they understand that No news is good news

I don't know why, but when I read this part "the Hornet is under VERY active development"...the phrase "Double Secret Probation" came to mind. If you're older you'll get what I mean....

I'm sorry I have no idea what you may be refering to as I am obviously not of that age...*Cough* All I can say is they had better grab the ball by the balls and get on with it!

I'm usually patient when it comes to sims but waiting for the Hornet is starting to hurt. It's even more frustrating every time a new jet populates DCS but it's not the Hornet. sigh...

The last post before the more recent ones was on March 2015. That was almost 2 years ago. Is anything still supposed to be a "progress update"? Or should it be more aptly called "this project isn't dead yet"? If this is their "under VERY active development," that just casts doubt on those that are not under over-emphasized active development. This also begs the question on how many "tiers" of development ED has. If we have 1.5.x, 2.0.x, and 2.5 builds as far as DCS World, is there a
VERY VERY active development VERY active development Active development Not active development Not very active development Not very very active development???

I am sure things will turn out right in the end.
I'm not sure where you're getting your optimism from Tom, but can I have some I was thinking that things will turn out OK in the end too....back in 2010, it's just that 7 years later I'm still not sure where the end actually is.....or the middle, or if ED have even started yet.

I am sure things will turn out right in the end. It's going to be okay. We probably won't be around to complain about how it was different from what was promised anyway... that is if anyone even remembers what was promised!

when they release the Hornet - we have to keep in mind that it will be an early release otherwise it will be very frustrating at first. Exactly... so "the end" will still be a long way off EVEN with the release of the (beta) Hornet. Heck, I doubt if ED themselves even have a vague idea of their "the end" scenario.

Well, that's "the end" of the devs, but I doubt DCS will be finished by that time!!
