I had two "blue screen of death" crashes recently, and I have a feeling
as if it might have something to do with sounds (I was sim-flying both times).

However, it cannot be wrong to update the sound driver of my ASUS P7P68.
Now I cannot remember which version I have - can I see that anywhere?

And when I know: where do I get the best driver? Does anyone know?

Sorry my friend, all I'd do is google it.

I hope your WOFF install wasn't messed up over this!

If you don't have your motherboard manual to get the name and model, get CPU-Z run it, and click on mainboard tab. Once you know what motherboard and version/revision you should be able to search the website for correct drivers.

Funny googling ASUS P7P68 sound driver 3rd post brings you here wink

There are at least 2 revisions
http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P8P67M_PRO/HelpDesk_Download/
http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P8P67_PRO_REV_31/HelpDesk_Download/

Seems it's a Realtek Audio card, so find which one but you can usually download Realtek drivers elsewhere ( do not pay or download any download manager programs though!)

I have used this
http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/down...p;GetDown=false
tick the box, then download.

Nice. I have RealTek sound and have been quite happy though I never tried a driver update.
Looks like a link I'll be clicking in a few.

EDIT: Thanks Pol. That was a painless driver update.
