Hi guys,

Here's a poll regarding F6 key which brings up the gun sight when you are sat in the cockpit in an aircraft in WOFF.

Do you want to have the extra views on F6 removed so it is basically a toggle from normal VC view to gunsight and back.

Or not.

Since the poll requests it (kinda) I will keep my vote a secret till the voting is done but I think the fact you are willing to give your customers a say in this matter speaks legion about the group of guys that are OBD. What else can be said?

Before I vote: will the map still be available the other way?

The in game map would obviously still be on "M" key, just not the F6 map (which has no data, icons, waypoints etc).

How about this option: set up the snap view down view in the xdp to move the eye point to line up with the gunsight. I have this set up in all my aircraft in CFS3 and it works well. When using track IR, I just assign a convenient joystick button (actually on my throttle controller) to pause the head tracking for as long as I hold it down and just use the pov hat to hold my view on the gunsight while I'm aiming. It works very naturally.

It might be hard for players without TrackIR if those views are gone. Could they be reassigned to a different key stroke or left for the player to assign?

Even with TrackIR the map in the plane can be hard to view on some planes.

Map is on the "M" key TrackIR or not. You can assign that to whatever joystick button you want.
And the map that "F6" pulls up is pretty worthless IMHO. See Pol's post above.
The map that, in a few aircraft, that you can view while looking around in the cockpit is just "window dressing" as you can see in the graphics folders of the few aircraft that have them.
Unless your question really has me confused?

I like my window dressing map. Some planes have a compass on the wing which would be very hard for the no TrackIR people to see. I'll have to think about this poll before voting.
