I'm quoting Paladin6 here:

"This week's mission features a detachment left in contact ("DLIC") conducting a delaying action or time-limited defense in order to protect the withdrawal of friendly elements. M1A1 (HA)'s and HMMWV's. Get 'em while they're hot!

All are welcome, but please make sure you have completed a full set of tutorials for at least one vehicle.

Also, if you plan to attend, PLEASE indicate your interest either here or over at United Ops.

Here's the video from last Saturday's mission, "Detachment Left in Contact." You can read my OPORD here.

It was fine for an advance to contact which is pretty much what the briefing indicated.

However now that we have dealt with the recce and the initial encounter battle from the Advance Guard we can look forward to part two where the indirect fire starts to arrive and the rest of the Battalion launches its quick attack (probably in the South since the recce found our protective minefields in the North).

Well I'm thinking of making the "prequel" to that mission, and also a sequel.

There Hedge might get his BN/Rgt size attack...right after 20-60 minutes of artillery preperation by RED :-P

Lets hope its just a Bn against two Tank Platoons, that will be hard enough.

Against a Soviet Regt (3 x Bns) it seems a foregone conclusion. smile

Well as a Charlie callsign I didn't hear any of it.

I was too busy trying to guess what we were doing from looking around since whatever you said didn't really survive the process of:

Think in German
Talk in English on Company net
Listen in English
Think in Spanish
Talk in English on Troop/Platoon net

As it moved down the command chain. smile
