Hi all, been playing dayz for a while, most of the time as a lone ranger, with the odd occasion with a few friends. Just wondering if there is a group of you guys here who meet up and help each other out? struggling to keep warm at current even though im geared up!
Also how the heck do i get a wrap on the mosin? i read up on it but i cant for some reason get it to work so im wondering if im glitched which wouldnt surprise me
Cheers Steve

Yeah a bunch of us have the game and are always willing to play together but sometimes half the session is just trying to meet up. Different time zones different locations on the map but we usually try to help out our fellow SHQers. I'm in the pacific time zone so fee free to add me to steam as well same ID as forum name. Hopefully when the SA has progressed a lot more a bunch of other guys will come back to play, anyone here can tell you we had some EPIC sessions when we were playing the mod as a large group.
I've got a bad feeling about this.....

Sweet, been away for a while, i try to be a good guy, though the randomers ive met are more often than not luring me into a trap. Luckily i have an M4 so the last lot that tried to bring me into a trap were all swiftly rattled to the ground lol famous last words of one of them unconcious on the floor was "F Sake that didn't go well" i did my deep slow talking voice replying "No. It didn't" Bang. Magnum shot to the head.
Was playing with a group but they really started to take things mega serious, like clan tags and everything else and putting rules in place, the leading guys would always randomly kill us and think its a laugh so last night they were gonna do it again, so i threw a can of drink at one of them, the main instigator, he shouted what was that, a grenade? turning to see what it was, im just like "No, a distraction for your death" topped him haha to which obviously its only okay for him to kill us not the other way around, and he starts yelling for me to get out of HIS server lol i was just like im done with your petty stuff gonna go play the game how its meant to be played. Just ran off into the woods whilst the other head guy is trying to save his gear.
Sounds pretty bad on my part but bear in mind hes randomly killed me on 5 occasions previously. So yeah i try to help people and thats what i usually get so im a bit sceptical sometimes but ive had a few good encounters, one randomer i met he had no weapons but he distracted a group of bandits killing bambi's for me and we took them down.

I would encourage you guys to check out the Falcon Roleplay/Realism server @ http://falcondayzrp.com/ Great community, populated server, usually between 20-50 people online. Great set of rules to keep everything on the server fun. No KOS, more about making contact and actually having interactions with people. Still bandits around, however if you surrender, they aren't allowed to kill you. Many other rules that are listed on the site as well. Feel free to check it out if your looking for a good place to play DayZ in a way that, IMO, is more like the way the game is suppose to be played.

My opportunities to play are limited and usually restricted to late at night Eastern time after the kids have been put to sleep, so I've really only played as a lone wolf so far. I have been KOS'd a number of times but will not play as a bandit. Ideally I'd like to get geared up and help out new spawns. Playing with other like minded players sounds like fun.

I'm thinking I need to plan the 2nd SimHQ DayZ-A-Thon! With better planning this year for a good turnout, the idea was last year that we met in a certain region of the map so we could easily link up. It turned into a hunt for splints and bandages after many a broken leg but was lots of fun.
I've got a bad feeling about this.....

Feel free to add me to steam: shad0wrat. I play most evenings and would rather team up with some one and maybe survive longer. Using Teamspeak is advised. Could not find you under shad0wrat. But I do see a shadow_629 Friend request sent.

Falstar, It might be my mistake as the 0 in Shad0wRat is a zero. I forgot to clarify that. Hope to catch up with you and share some beans. Edit: Just occurred to me steam names might be case sensitive.
Shad0wRat 0=zero

Hola All,
Besides Ajay being hyperactive on DayZ and more or less in synch with my time-zone, any other SimHQer in the Asia-Pacific region having a go at DayZ ?
Maybe Harry-the-rusky, and someone in Japan if I recall properly (forgot your nick, soz) ?
Cheers, Slug
