I have TSH v3.06 and the TSH splash screen shows sometimes right before a mission loads, but most times it does not. How do I know if TSH is running instead of Jane's v1.01F? The Options screen shows F18 V1.01F at the lower left.
I have to use one of the three default resolutions (1200x960) to make the game run otherwise I get a CTD when I start a mission. I matched this resolution to the TSHv3 Manager 1.040 (1200x960) resolution in TSH Manager.
Further, I can not get the ministick on my CH Pro Throttle to move the TDC even though I have it set to U1/V1 in CH Manager and U1/V1 in TSH Manager. The select function of the ministick does work, however as it acts like another button. The throttle works otherwise as does my CH Fighterstick. I use CH Manager v4.55 and a modified version of the Ghost JanesFA18-FS-PT-TQ-PP map without the TQ or PP since I do not have those items.
I also have Activate Big Font in HUD selected in TSH Manager but the font is always the default size.
My F18addon.ini has a modified date of 3/3/2006 but TSH Manager sends a message that it changed the file when I save my settings. My F-18 executable has a modified date of 4/23/2007.

I found the solution to the ministick problem. The Dummies Guide is significantly more useful than the CH Manager help files.

why don't you use it instead?

TSH 4.02 won't work properly even running it in Administrator mode and trying all the Compatibility Settings available on Windows 7 x64. TSH Manager 4 does not save the settings and the program crashes when I try to start a mission. TSH Manager 3 saves the settings and works with the program.

I used a lot of your key and .ini files as well and yesterday added a CH throttle quadrant to the setup.

Just wish I could get Jane's F/A 18 to run on my Win7 machine w/o crashing.

I run TSH v3.06 from the one click installer in Administrator mode set to 1280x960. I have Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. If the game crashes it does so before or after a mission. It has not crashed during. I do not use any compatibility modes.

Tried any and all "fixes" nothing works for me. Jane's F/A-18 just stops responding about 5-10 seconds after I click the .exe.

It does not seem to work the same for any two people.

I had some problems with TSH 4.02... among them was the inability to connect to multiplayer and sound issues, TSHv4manager didn't save settings ..etc. After I did a complete wipe and reinstall of janes stock F-18 (no 1.01F Patch) I then used the one click installer from here http://vfa-41.net/FA-18_Utilities.php

I am able to connect online and all previous issues with TSH were fixed. I don't know why TSH 4.02 is buggy but it is. The F-18 one click updater works and TSH 3.06 is perfect for online and single play.

I've installed Jane's F/A 18 (TSH v3.06) onto my old WinXP Machine, and, TA DA!

Spent some time in the HL last night doing carrier quals. Been a while, gonna have to keep practicing to get the muscle memory back.
