High drama! As usual. When I posted some pics on the Screenshots page, I commented that I was having trouble getting the clouds to look right. It was clouds in your vids. that I had in mind. Would I be correct in assuming that (in addition to choosing "Majestic", etc.) that your video dogfights tend to start at very high altitudes so that you're looking down on them, not up into? Do the majority of your fight happen in Campaign mode or QC? (like me)
In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. But in practice, there is.

[Re: Hellshade]
Almost all of my videos since V2 are in campaign mode. Any Quick Combat dogfights are explicitly labeled as such. So I'm not actually choosing the clouds in any of the campaign videos. Just luck of the draw when flying I suppose. Also, I'm not posting a video of every dogfight and campaign mission that I do. If I don't like something about it, I usually don't post it. For example, there was actually a second encounter after that video I just posted...but it was so dark that the ground textures were completely messed up and looked bad in the Shadowplay video.
As far as altitude, that is also dependent upon what the campaign assigns me to fly at. Mostly though, I am guilty of being willing to go off on my own if I happen to see an enemy flight somewhere below me and I think I can cause some havoc. So that might give the impression that I am often at a height advantage, however the truth is I've probably disregarded my own mission orders and went for a target of opportunity. When in doubt, win the war!
I use AVS Video Editor. $60 when I bought it. When in the video editing software I select Youtube HD and then either 1280 x 720 or 1920 x 1080. Upscale the sampling from 4500 to 5000.
Another contender for "Hellshades Greatest Hits!". That opening flak burst looks like it must have gone off in your face. Did it, in fact? At 1:56 a Tripe slips in ahead of you and appears (?) to collide, or, brush wingtips with the Halberstadt. Is that how it looked to you?
In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. But in practice, there is.

The opening Archie did seem awfully close, but it appears I took no damage to my kite. Not sure how close Archie has to be in order to do damage to a plane, but I have to say I was surprised that I didn't take damage on that one.
At 1:56 the tripe that cut me off did NOT collide with the Alb. The Alb pilot makes an evasive maneuver of putting his plane into a spin a mere fraction of a second before the Tripe passes through what I believe was his airspace. If he hadn't of cartwheeled his craft, I think the two would have collided. Pretty amazing AI programing skill there. I've seen AI intentionally put their planes into a spin and then recover shortly thereafter before, so I'm pretty confident that's within their skillset. I have just never seen it used so incredibly precisely as in that moment. Kudos to Rex on his programing skills and to the German pilot who must have crapped himself when he saw the overzealous Tripe coming in so hard and fast!

Shortcomings? None here. It was a good chase, the Alb. was always in sight and your gunnery was 'spot on'. So many times when I'm watching a vid., I see the shot coming, and I'm mentally yelling, "Shoot! Shoot!", but you, especially in your deflection shots, were shooting a second or two before he crossed your gunsights so it looked like you were leading the target just fine. I call planes like him "Bullet Sponges". You see some where the wings just fold up after a good burst, with others, you can hammer away point blank and they just keep flying. Nice vid. Make more.
In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. But in practice, there is.

Faap;
Some really good flying there and as Hauksbee said you lead nicely. One thing you could think about that should improve your opportunities is to throttle back when you are quickly approaching the enemy craft, so that you stay on his six and not overshoot him. This will also leave you close to his tail for a longer time with ample opportunity to take him out quicker. I noticed three times where this tactic would have been to your advantage. Great flying otherwise Sir and you kept him in your field of view constantly!

Nice flying and shooting Faap. Excellent work keeping him in your view most of the time. Nice calm hand on the machine gun too so that you don't waste much ammo. I'd fly with you.
I'll echo Roberts comments in that it's best to make a choice. Either throttle back for more time on the enemy aircrafts 6 o'clock in order to line up and shoot or else keep it full throttle when diving down from above so that you can zoom climb up again, roll over and repeat the attacks Boom & Zoom style.
Like Hellshade, I prefer keeping full throttle and fly high yoyos.

One thing I forgot to say is "to keep checking your six" for that unexpected second enemy craft that just might have you on his mind. Can never be too cautious.

Checking my six is something i really need to improve but also to process what i am seeing. I just had a good two versus two (Sopwith Pups against Albatros D.II:s) campaign encounter and while i was chasing one of the huns i looked back and saw my mate, behind on my left. A couple of seconds later he passes me, on the right, and when i looked back again i realised the one i thought was my mate was in fact the second hun. No need to worry though, eventually one Albatros went home and the other, belonging to none other than Wilhelm Anton Seitz, had to make a forced landing.
