It's December, who would expect NEW things in this month out of all during the year?

Lots of fun last night. Some really good tactical moves into and then out of danger. And sometimes the other way around too!

I did notice however that we were very heavy on the splitting of teams through several missions. The castle mission had Alpha trying to pop the castle while Bravo was in no position to support them. On the Radio Tower mission it wasn't till the end that support fire could be counted on from the second team. I am not criticizing, I am not a fan of the tactical "blob" myself, but it is significantly harder when the teams are not in visual range of each other. Just a thought.

Everybody gets everything they want. I wanted a mission. And for my sins..they gave me one.

On the castle one it worked fine till alpha got into contanct and was forced to move, if they'd been able to stay along the tree line as planned it would have worked fine, bravo had perfect eyes over the entire area. Same with the radio tower, it was going fine till we got hit in the flank and one group had to move a fair distance over open ground under fire to help out. Those pesky AI and their flanking manovers spoil the best laid plans hahaha

Castle was my fault, missing with the AT4! If that was down we could have swept straight across to support.

Did some playing with it last night, and it appears to drop more than I'd anticipated at range.

Between safe distance and around 100m, you can just line up on it and fire.
Effective to about 300m, but at that range you need to holdover about 3-5ft.

The only way I could hit anything at that range was with the GUI crosshair, using the ironsights you can't even see the target.

The castle had enemy infantry very well placed for defense. Our team was shredded by the first few stationary (kneeling/prone) defenders we met. We even led with grenades, a bit unlucky on our throws, I guess.

I could not see the Hurons in that first mission ... which is odd because I have the DLC, installed, and was able to go the editor and place one in a misson and see/use it. I decided that I need to reinstall Arma3 and left because I didn't want to interfere with the missions while I b!tched and complained :-)

Good point. I will give that a go.

Oh and Tanker, thanks for the Ka-50 videos. They were obviously a help :-)

I had a great time with those tough missions.
