It looks like a lot of fun. I am not familiar with the game play so I was wondering what you accomplished when you destroyed those other ships - is it point-based depending on accomplishments? Or do some ships have valuables that you can pick up after killing them?
The issue is not p*ssy. The issue is monkey.

Depends on the situation. Nothing drops out of ships as loot unless you force people to drop their cargo. Otherwise in a combat zone you can agree to join a side and you'll get bonds per kill that you can turn in for payment at an affiliated station, or you can play bounty hunter and scan random people for bounties. Killing them give you a voucher you can turn in for the reward.
Lots of different ways to make a buck or two. If you're feeling lucky you can view the top bounties in a sector if you're docked so you know what player to blow up if your paths cross.

Awww Amazing! Got everything and configured it when I found out my Win7 only has the german speech engine :/ I could not find a way to add the english library having only Win7 pro.. Seems to only work in higher tier windows releases?
However, do you know how I can add the VP? I bought and downloaded it but cannot find an installation guide in the accompanying pdf :/
Edit: Dang.. you need to manually add "play a sound" and select the according sound file from the downloaded library. Geez, that seems to be a hell lot of work :-O

Amazing! I just went through many of them only to find out I already changed my controls heavily (though still didn't get used to a good layout) which makes the VA profile useless since it doesn't fit to my ingame bindings. If I could at least change myself from the trouble to add the "play sound" to the VA profile... I could then map my ingame settings to the VA profile as I didn'T find "my" way to go yet anyways.

Yeah, I figured early on that there wasn't going to be a quick-install thing for this. You'll have to go through each command and bind it to your key mappings.

I hope you guys show more vids like this from different aspects of game play. I know there are probably other sources for this information, but when it comes to learning about a game genre I know little about I tend to turn to SimHQ members for guidance. I can say this much, it looks fascinating so far.

Yeah, I figured early on that there wasn't going to be a quick-install thing for this. You'll have to go through each command and bind it to your key mappings. It's pretty easy to just install someone's existing VA profile though, I did that from one of the Twitch streamers I usually watch and it was good start and then I could tweak it myself, here is where he has his VoiceAttack setup on the right side of this profile page that you can play around with until Brennus shares his: http://www.twitch.tv/o_dingo77/profile

That's insane. I just don't know if I've got the chops to tackle the game yet (there is soooo much to it). I bought it, but haven't been flying it yet. That video is damn impressive...

It looks like a lot of fun. I am not familiar with the game play so I was wondering what you accomplished when you destroyed those other ships - is it point-based depending on accomplishments? Or do some ships have valuables that you can pick up after killing them? I've adopted the role of a bounty-hunter. I've done my share of trading and other odd jobs during the BETA/GAMMA, but combat is where I profit, it's what I'm good at. So, in an attempt to explain the game-play, it goes a bit like this: Find a NAV point, usually located near the systems primary star, AI traffic here is where you'll find the best targets. Start scanning targets til you find a wanted status. Killing these targets successfully will give you a voucher that you then return for profit. It gets complicated as you start to add in faction status. You'll notice that the Federation Security forces started to attack me and I decided to jump away. That's because even though my targets were wanted, they were Federation affiliated. Thus, I became hostile to any Federation ships in the area. You'll also notice that I didn't stick around long after the Federation Security forces started to shoot at me, that's because I'm still flyin' the very fragile Eagle. While a competent combat craft, it's paper thin armor makes it incredibly vulnerable til it's upgraded. I hope this helps to clear things up.

This is really cool. Is the gear up, gear down commands all tied to one button or is the program smart enough to know the difference? As of now E:D has only toggle functionality of the landing gear, but as long as I only use VoiceAttack to raise/lower the gear I'll never get it mixed up, but there's also a gear indicator light in the lower right HUD, so you can see it's status at a glance.
