Just watched The Polar Express the second year in a row. In my opinion a great movie that really takes me back to the Christmas spirit from when i was 12 years old Went to check it out on IMDb, and it only has a 6.6 rating. Was it really that poorly received? I think it's absolutely great! What do you guys think about it?
In all my years I've never seen the like. It has to be more than a hundred sea miles and he brings us up on his tail. That's seamanship, Mr. Pullings. My God, that's seamanship!

Cartoons.
I was just watching Peter Pan Live (a recording To Be Sure) and real actors vs the cartoon stuff out these days is hands down I want the real actors.

I grew up reading the original Chris Van Allsburg book each Christmas, and to be honest, I still prefer it to the movie.

I thought it was great! Its the best Christmas movie I have seen since I was a kid, really took me back. Yeah, same feeling I got. Magical atmosphere.

I read an article about that exact point. They said the movie didn't do as all as it might have because the CGI tried too hard to make the people look real, and that creeped people out. More conventional cartoon looking characters are considered more friendly. (I never saw the movie.)
Question everything!
