No, really, "From the Earth to the Moon" has to be mine. I remember always trying to stop driving and grab a room at a motel that had HBO for the, what?, 10 weeks that the series was on? Whenever I'd hear the opening theme, I would start getting all emotional and such.

Shaka Zulu, the imported TV mini-series from the 1980s. Nothing like it since, whip smart dialogue that I remembered for its terse insights, for the imposing Henry Cele as the both sympathetic and ruthless king Shaka himself, and its for television production values of the time, it was as good as it gets.
Interesting, I still rate Conspiracy above Wannsee, I think its just more real, the general chit chat etc all very surreal as I can only imagine the actual event was. Plus I have a bit of secret Man Love for Kenneth Branagh in it, the part he plays with scary accuracy according to the accounts of how Heydrich was.

Branagh is very good at playing WW2 era German officers. He was also very good in "Valkyrie".

Conspiracy really disturbed me.

To pick just one... yea"From the Earth to the Moon". No doubt!
Watched it early this year, as good or better this time than the first time I saw it when it aired. A "must see" for any male of any age.
I do hope to visit The Cape sometime during a big launch... maybe when Orion heavy lift gets a green light!
