Yeah, I figured out the electrical power pretty quick.
I'm now trying to figure out why my nose wheel steering isn't working. Posting at ED's forum doesn't get any response or solution. Or even an acknowledgment they are aware of the bug. This is the first time they've separated the aircraft from the "base" LOMAC/FC engine but I'll check it out to see if its on my end as well, more than likely it is. Or it may require (which I've never had to do) a separate button as I know the C after landing needs to have the button pressed, but never the A.

Just tried a cold start with the A model and had full nosewheel control so not sure as I started the engines (RShift + Home) and then enabled the electrical systems (RShift + L) and she acted normally to me.

It's the A-10A, Skate. I'm not at home for the next few weeks, but will check upon my return. Maybe it has to do with the change for the CH Products rudder pedals axis with the latest update?!?!

I'm starting to get a "runaway" throttle (TM HOTAS X) when cold starting now with the A-10A. Been fairly repeatale and annoying. What happens is I start the engines (RShift+Home, and yes I Know I mentioned it above, worked that time and all of a sudden it seemed to not want to do it right anymore) and and no worky. I Quit, set for Parking Lot instead of ramp and everything goes to well... you know the four letter word. What happens is that the throttle somehow gets set I would guess at the midrange if I just nudge the throttle from idle. Exiting the simulation and maybe unnecessary, I unplug the stick, chill out for a bit, plug it back in, and open the simulation, and if I do parking lot everything is good to go. Is it just me or can anybody confirm? I thought it may be a wrong sequence with no ground power but I tried that and still the same issue, which to me seems somehow linked to the throttle problem. I figure simulation logic thinks the throttle isn't at idle so you can't cold start. Also noticed this problem with the A-10C as well.

I always move my throttle full range before starting up after I enter the cockpit to make sure the sim and the controller are in sync. For every plane and helo.

I had a similar experience that I ended up tracing to incorrect axes mapping. Some of my axes mapping got "updated" somehow to my Thrustmaster MFDs. These don't have axes inputs, which is confusing to begin with, and the game somehow interpreted that assignment as throttle inputs. If I moved Warthog throttle, the problem went away immediately, but, as you mentioned, if I walked away after respawning or loading a mission, bam, my A/C would be a fireball by the time I could get into the seat. Once I removed the assignments to the MFD the problem went away for good.
tl;dr check your axes assignments. There may be some assignments that you didn't put in there that are messing with you.

Yeah that's what I've noticed as I don't use any joystick mappings for the MFDs as it's all accessible by memory on how to access them and most of the time it's basic DSMS and Mav/TGP manipulation with the mouse, but I do notice my throttle rocker switch somehow got to my rudder, which could be the root cause of the problem. I'm not actuating the rocker switch but maybe I'm twitching and cornfusing the simulation mapping thing. Strange but it just started cropping up last night. Could be just a gremlin thing (like, taking a break from modding and enjoying flying for once) but I'll muck with it later on, thanks guys.

tl;dr check your axes assignments. There may be some assignments that you didn't put in there that are messing with you. Likely a Input mapping issue or something with Windows or DCS. I usually wipe my keys with every major update, another reason I decided to get a warthog throttle, one less controller to configure. Multie times I've had modules where the +/- axes were somehow mapped to all devices, so stick forward was pitch down, throttle up, roll right and right rudder. The same thing for the throttle, push it forward was throttle up pitch down roll right etc, like all the axes were merged, the issue went away went I started clearing axds controls after I update and then re-mapping the axes for each device.

For every plane and helo. +1 Just do as they do IRL and it takes care of this, i.e. always check the controls for free & unrestricted movement anyway regardless of the AC you're flying.

Well the thing is that it happens only when I cold start aircraft, not a bug in itself with the joystick/keybindings. So I've kept the same key/stick assignments from 1.2.10 and never had any issues. ONLY when I cold start my rocker switch on my throttle becomes my rudder and the throttle gets screwy, so it's not (as said before, I'm sure quite clearly) a confusion when I choose "Start from the Parking Lot" versus the ramp (which causes the issue).

Nope, full Sim, not Arcade. Been flying the series for about over a decade man, never flew Arcade mode, not even for giggles.
