When I get mine soon, both my brother and I will be on the some console, since his account becomes Gold under mine.
Prolly get the Assasin's Creed Bundle, and a 2TB External Drive and just download everything unless I'm getting it on sale at the mall or something.

I'm going to squeeze every drop out of my PS3. The lack of controller support (wheels, etc.) in the new consoles is inexcusable. I just bought a G27, I'm not buying something else to get it to work on a new console.

Keep in mind that I do not play on line in any way.

Yeah I don't believe it either, it's just the wishful thinking after Microsoft's recent talk about "Focusing on Gaming on Windows" that they do about this time every year...
Gets everyone all worked up imagining RDR and Forza on PC and then they don't do anything or worse they shut down whatever little PC gaming products they had instead.
Microsoft are such teases, they know PC Gamers are easy to toy with and they get free publicity every time :P

I still don't think they lose near as much money as they claim. No way their shareholders would accept an even bigger hit when they discount the consoles.

360 Emulation didnt happen because powerPC emulation in realtime on x86 was not possible at the time, and still isnt.
However, Xbox One's Host component controller, runs via VM on the 8 core X86-64.APU.
Xbox One emulation at 100%.speed is relatively easy, all you need is the host environment controller to manage the individual components. All of which aleady exist in Windows 8.1.
The only thing missing is the Xbox One DRM driver.
So, you make money off software abd services.
Your hardware is weaker thab the competitor and die hard gamers are complaining, etc etc.
You realize you can move use Windows X and DX12 to run Xbox Ones Operating System on systems that meet requirements, allow users to use Xbox One/360 usb devices (including kinect II).
Sell more software to gamers that want a lil.bit.extra.
Allow.users to ramp up.fsaa and Af for the XBO rendering pipe, etc.
TBH Xbox One on Windows doesnt even need the XBO O/S, it can be a separate Gui that uses a driver to allow reading of the Digital download images abd BR discs.

Problem is, that means more support headaches for devs (branching hardware footprints). With consoles you only have to worry about the systems you launch on. Which (sidebar rant) is what really grinds me about bugs and laggy performance on consoles. It's one friggen machine to worry about; how hard can the QA be, especially if you're a AAA publishing house?

That because the dev/pub studios have become lazy and want to save money on proper play testing. For example look at the problems with the Halo: MCC's online.

As for Windows, your not supporting any new hardware, they arw emulating the consoles hardware., the min. Requirements would be strict though to avoid emulation speed issues cpu and gpu wise.
343 is not a AAA Studio, they simply did. Good job on HaloCE, so they took over Halo.fro
