Hi All,
How does the new addon compare with the original WOFF, as regards to frame rates, and stuttering?...is it an improvement?
I'd like to buy it, but I've been struggling a bit to get the most out of WOFF (my rig is pretty good, though my card possibly needs upgrading)... I've been playing OFF more than WOFF for this reason.
It's not that WOFF is not flyable for me..just I cannot seem to prevent stuttering in dogfights.

Thanks Guys..well, I've supported the team since day one..and they've supported me (and indeed all of us)..so, I'll go see if I've earned enough Brownie Points from the Missus..and go get it..and give it a whirl

The reason it runs better is Ankor's mod. His mod transfers a good deal of the game load from the CPU (original CFS3 games with DX8) to the GPU. With modern GPU's and DX9, it greatly increases the FPS for the game. The newer the AnKor's mod the better the transfer is.
CPU = i9 11900K GPU = RTX 3080 Ti Monitor = ASUS ROG Swift PG32UQX 2160p G-sync

Widow;
What they say about frame rate improvements seems true to me. In addition, I have noticed that the sim loads faster so there are some improvements there as well. It is evident in that the pre-flight audio where you hear "contact" etc, used to finish before the sim launched, now it seems the sim launches before the pre-flight audio finishes, so you find yourself on the runway still hearing the "Contact" and the engine startups.
Hope that helps some.

Hi Widowmaker, in the Nvidia control panel, do you select "Override any application settings"? You should, as this improves the frame rates dramatically. You can set this either globally, or for CFS3 only. By setting this, I've totally eliminated stutters. OMG! Thank You! With 2.0 I've been getting at least 27fps {used to get 24-28 at best in 1.26} in campaign and over 30 sometimes with much higher in time compression. I did not know if it was a new driver or 2.0 {I suspect 2.0}. I tried it just now with your NVidia control panel settings and got 60 fps for the most part and 52 while engaged in a dogfight! It dropped down to 38 just before touchdown while landing and that was as low as it got!!! I don't know why or how it works but I've gotten double the performance with a barely adequate 2760QM 2.2 ghz laptop CPU. Big Thank You to Slick. And another to OBD for the penultimate WWI flight sim.

Hi Rich,
I have the GTX 770, too, so you should able to use the settings in my pic above. I have the 4GB version, but I doubt it would make a difference if you had the 2GB version.
Cheers!
