It would appear that the claims process has been modified but exactly for what purpose is not evident. I just flew my first mission and shot down some Halbs in german territory and one for sure I saw in flames crash the ground. Normally I would be given a claim form to fill out and then I would be granted or denied the confirmation. In this case I was never presented with a claim form and I didn't have any competition from squad mates.
What if anything has changed in WOFF with respect to claims form presentation.

On the "Details" page of your mission Debrief you'll see an icon down in the lower right corner. The icon has a gun reticle superimposed on the plan view of an airplane and for lack of a better description...a postal envelope. Click there. What does clicking there do. I can't check it now as I have already completed the mission. I did check the "outcomes.xml" file and the "offdata.dat" file and it clearly shows that I downed a Halb and a balloon but no claim form presented.

Ok, I flew another mission and shot down a Halb and then clicked on the claims icon on the mission debrief and got to the claims form. I don't like this approach and will change to the easy claims form because I often use the windows "snipping tool" to take snapshots of this mission debrief screen and when I do for some reason it always disappears just after I do the snapshot and as a result I don't get to the claims form. In the older version if it disappeared it was no problem as I would automatically be presented the claims form when it did.
I just hope that taking the easy claims form doesn't give me easy promotions because I don't want that to happen. If they are lumped together that creates a problem for me that I don't know how to get around.
Best Regards

Unfortunately I believe the "Easy Claims" are tied to "Easy Promotions" or so it appeared in the 2.0 release notes. I made a request in the Wish List to separate the two so they can be set independently. Of course I requested a dedicated gunsite key also.

Ok, I often use the windows "snipping tool" to take snapshots of this mission debrief screen All I might suggest is to get the screenshot a different way (like using the PrintScreen button and pasting into WindowsPaint program?)

hopefully, this workaround will become public at some point. I'm interested in it too Why are you also taking pictures of the details page? Are you also battling with 3rd party Screengrab apps? Or just worried you might be missing out on a brand new feature (which is not the intention here)? Just curious. WM

Yes, I'm making screenshots of Details page and then save them in a 3rd party app (very useful for challenges).

Robert, from what I read elsewhere, the new "Claims" thingy is just great for realism! Something I always hoped to see. You do not get the hint that you shot down a plane and should claim it - you must know it yourself, or guess, and then make a claim. You even have to know yourself, who could be your witness for it. and if that witness was too far away, the claim may never get a confirmation. Personally, I find this should add a LOT to realism - and maybe lower kill numbers.

Olham, what you say is true and I'm happy that we finally have a chance to make blind claims. I'm all pro in this respect. However, the point is that now it's impossible to make a screenie of the Details page (that I usually do when flying DiD or Challenges to track progress of each member of the squad). Because after you leave the page and get back to it - you don't see it anymore and thus cannot press the Claims button. It's just gone together with the page.
It would be great to have screenies saved automatically in some folder, like we have in cfs3.exe. I usually make 4 additional screenshots each mission (roster, mission description, map, details) and save them in dedicated mission folders. This way I can look through them someday and, you know, remember good old days

I use Cropper Capture (as Olham well knows). It works for me. I have tried about a zillion other free captures but they all got up my nose rather quickly.
