So I was watching some WW II related videos tonight (mostly about the air war) and I made the colossal mistake of reading some of the comments.
I'll never do that again. I read some of the most absurd and hateful comments I have ever read in a long time.
I'm convinced that some of these people make comments like these simply to troll and draw attention to themselves.

I believe it's a conspiracy to stop the overpopulation of Earth by causing people to give up on life and/or having children when they read YT comments because they lose all hope in humanity.
Let's face it, that would make more sense than mentally stable people writing even half the comments on that website.

The comments section can be as entertaining as the posted video at times but sometimes it's just best to ignore it and move on to the next video.

Look for me on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook or Tic Toc...or anywhere you may frequent, besides SimHq, on the Global Scam Net. Aka, the internet. I am not there, never have been or ever will be, but the fruitless search may be more gratifying then the "content" you might otherwise be exposed to.

Youtube might be the only big website on the internet where you can say (nearly) whatever you want to, and not get banned.
But yes, for sanity's sake, it's better to forget there is even a comments section under those videos.
I refuse to buy a flight sim that I have no interest in playing, on the off chance that MAYBE someday they'll make the one I really want to play.

Every WWII video's youtube comments section usually devolves into a bunch of Russians letting everyone know how they really won the war singlehandedly and don't you dare say otherwise.

The comments section on YT has convinced me there should be a license to reproduce.
In all my years I've never seen the like. It has to be more than a hundred sea miles and he brings us up on his tail. That's seamanship, Mr. Pullings. My God, that's seamanship!

I like how beneath my video on how to perform the Thach Weave the commenters emphatically state it would never, ever work and violates all the rules of air combat. And that only n00bs would attempt such a thing and would be "totally wasted" by the commenter in any flight simulation.
The opinions of this poster are largely based on facts and portray a possible version of the actual events. More dumb stuff at http://www.darts-page.comFrom Laser: "The forum is the place where combat (real time) flight simulator fans come to play turn based strategy combat."

The ones I see most of with WWII-related videos are about how the Germans were so awesome but Hitler messed everything up, or some very similar argument.

Thatch weave is about as tactically amateurish as a Luftberry Circle or an Immelman turn. You do any of these against a seasoned dogfighter and I'm going to slaughter you. Its not because I am a master at any of them... I shun all these as being too predictable. If someone were to do that to me I would immediately ignore my prey and turn hard on the guy that fired on me and dance on his ass until I dispatched him, while his buddy was off continuing to do scissor weaves. Oh, and the person's name is Choppergirl Airwar. How cute.

I've seen those comments as well but they pale in comparison IMHO to some other comments that I've seen like "The Allied war effort was being run by the Jewish capitalists" or "There's no evidence proving the Holocaust".

As a general rule I assume anyone commenting on a youtube vid is an 11 year old boy of sub-average intelligence. Then I can allow myself to be pleasantly surprised on occasion.
Yep. Sometimes it's a fifty year old racist instead. Wife is making dark threats of buying my a GoPro video camera for the Nieuport. I can't imagine the comments telling me it's not a real WWI fighter plane and how fake it is.
