In case you didnt check your email, ubisoft CEO sent a apology letter to buyers of unity, in the email as a way to appease us they are giving the next DLC from season pass for free to everyone costumer of AC (dont know if only early adopters or actually everyone), and owners of Season Pass or GOLD edition get a FREE GAME from ubisoft, and its not just old titles, they are :

Watch Dogs
Assassin’s Creed Black Flag
Rayman Legends
Just Dance 2015

I'm getting FC4, i'm glad i hold out on buying for Dragon Age Inquisition.

I'd prefer them to release a product that actually resembles their claims and advertising. Not sure what their disconnect problem was with this one. I'm enjoying elements of it but its not as it was portrayed. Maybe it was a problem with my perception but I can't help but feel like screaming "Did you not have play testers who are gamers spend time with this thing first"?!?

Unfortunately this isn't new with the latest crop of games (Battlefield 4, RTW 2, etc.) They have to meet certain release date (marketing, promotion, bottom-line dicate this). They know there are problems, but are disregarding them. At least EA/Dice learned a little something and delayed Battlefield: Hardline to work to improve the game. Too bad Ubisoft didn't pay more attention to the previous fiascos.

And misrepresented by the company responsible for it. (I think it was saga)they are being sued for false representation.

The problem with Ubisoft currently is that whatever they give away to make up for a botched release, it's right out of the frying pan into the fire*. For many customers, Far Cry 4 took 3 patches just to get it running (black screen on start-up due to any USB peripherals - especially Logitech keyboards and mice - somehow crashing the game).

Starting with Watch Dogs, they consistently keep releasing games at least 3-4 months too early. And then they rush out the patches apparently without testing them thoroughly enough. The latest ACU patch introduced a bug that messes with the TOD lighting settings, which at first looked to many players like a graphics downgrade (on all platforms).

Ubi seems to be trying hard to take EA's spot as the most hated company.



*At least if you are a PC user. And already own Black Flag.
