Hello to all and very Happy Thanksgiving!

This is my first post.

I kept up with the WOFF forum before I joined it and was ready for version 2.0 upgrade and the 2.01 patch

I have had no issues so far but I have only flown 3 campaign missions and 2 QC adventures.

I noted the posts concerning DX9 and the many many helpful guides and config suggestions. Thank you all for your time. It has certainly helped me and others too.

I had been running version 1.26 for about a month.

I would love to thank the software, development, and test teams plus all the many people that graciously contribute their time and effort to help others with this wonderful World War I flight sim.

I have always been a keen student of history especially WWII (Battle of Britain) and the air war in WWI so having WOFF that has so much historical accuracy is a gem in itself to me.

Some folks had posted about anyone having an AMD Radeon card. So I thought I would respond.

I'm running a system that I assembled almost two years ago.

It consists of:

Asus M55 Micro ATX MB
AMD Phenom II 975 quad core 3.6 GHZ
16G memory
Samsung 840 Pro 128GB SSD with 53GB free (includes WOFF and ROF and I'm running only those 2 games)
Third Gen WD Velociraptor backup drive
Mid range AMD Radeon 7770 with 2G memory and AMD Catalyst 14.4 (Driver 14.100.0.0)
White Corsair classic case

I used to build Linux, Windows XP Pro and Win 7 desktops for the Navy for security purposes to run open source intrusion detection and intrusion prevention systems. I worked in security for 41 years starting with active duty Navy shipboard data communications and ending my career in Navy civil service maintaining firewalls and IDS/IPS systems for the last 15 years. I love hands on work.

So I have experience with building stripped down systems with many services disabled and other things tweaked.

I have been getting a little rusty lately though.

I did considerable tuning and removing programs no longer needed before the V 2.0 upgrade.

With version 2.01 I have all the new Direct X9 settings at their highest levels.

In QC mode with all HUD and screen helps turned off I average 45-58 FPS

In campaign mode I average 35-45 FPS. Sometimes hitting 50 FPS

I would like to get a new Video card that is a bit more powerful and current hopefully within the next two months.

Once again thank you all for making this WWI flight sim so historical and beautiful.

Thanks Aris.

Now I just need to practice my dog fighting skills.

The flight model in WOFF is different than ROF.
