Thanks very much for the Expansion. It is a credit to all concerned. I am having small problem. When I Ctrl Q out of Quick Mission and press Done on the Flight Debrief, I end up with a quarter of my monitor filled with the top left quarter of the Quick Mission screen and have to exit WOFF via the task manager. I did a restart on my pc, but to no avail. Has anyone any suggestions?

Secondly, are ArisFusers clouds in V2.0?

Hi Skyhigh, are you running at max screen res? Do you have bitdefender or another AV with pops going on in the background?

Also check this from the FAQ:

18) WOFF’s User Interface my menus on screen are chopped off.

If you return from flight and find your WOFF interface menu is chopped off then Windows desktop resolution and your WOFF resolution must match the native resolution of your main TV or Monitor display.
To do this, set your Windows desktop to use the ‘native’ resolution of the monitor – you can do this by RIGHT-clicking on an empty area of your actual desktop. In Windows 7 this brings up a menu, choose “Screen Resolution” and set it to the monitor’s native resolution.
Also you must set this same resolution in WOFF, so go to Workshops menu from WOFF main menu. Look under Graphics and Details section and set the resolution to match the monitor’s native resolution.
The ‘native’ resolution of your monitor is usually the maximum resolution it supports. Check the display manufacturer’s website.

ArisFuser's mod isn't in no.

Thank you. I'll try that. I asked about Arisfuser's mod because the default clouds look so good. Now I have a dilemma-I can't make my mind up which I prefer!

Nothing working. All resolutions match. Turned off AVG. Did full reinstall. No mods. Now happening with 1.26. (Version 1 was ok). Now baffled. My desktop is 1920x1080 as is my monitor. But when I set WOFF to this, it crashes. But it works on 1600x 900, but of course graphics are poorer.

However, it will work with 2880x1620 or any other resolution, just not the native one. Is it possible to do this with a 22" monitor, as the 2880x1620 looks fine?

The fact that its happening in V1.26 means its not the Expansion of course

Something has clearly changed in your setup OS or Hardware.

Hard to comment further at this moment in time.

Run in the non native res for now - and maybe look at getting a neat 27" for Christmas :-) its worth it if you love simming!

Yeah, it's obviously not the expansion. Baffling really. I did a bit of research and discovered this thing called "downsampling" which allows one to run games at higher resolutions through, in my case, nVidia control panel and my GPU, without changing the native desktop resolution. Apparently, as it is all done through the GPU, it has no detrimental effect on one's monitor. Supposed to provide a better image.

If I may quote:

"1. YES. But you do not have to use this resolution on your desktop, you just set it up...!
2. After that start your game and now you can set 2880x1620 in-game.
=> No damage/harm for your monitor!

3. "I mean youre screen is actually showing 2880x1620..."
=> Exactly, this is downsampling. You render 2880x1620 on a 1920x1080 Screen.
But it's basically your GPU which renders and calculates the picture in the higher resolution."

And:

"The game is being rendered in an higher resolution, which the graphics card then downsamples and outputs to your monitor's native resolution in a similar fashion that photoshop would sharpen an image when you shrink its physical size. The monitor didn't magically gain pixels, its just getting sharper information."

Thanks for your attention.

Skyhigh, I would suggest you to try simply the native resolution of your monitor, and set WOFF to the very same, without overriding or downsampling things with Nvidia stuff or other softwares. Changing native resolution to higher might work for desktop etc., but games won't cope with it too often. It is shown which native resolution your monitor has. That's the one you choose and with that it should work.

Creaghorn, thanks for your reply. Weirdly, my game works with every resolution other than native. It will work on lesser resolutions also. However, with 2880x1620,I have ben able to turn down AA a notch or two without jaggies, my fps is unaffected and the game seems to run fine. I must keep an eye on my gpu temperatures of course.

Maybe then you have something activated or ticked to manually change resolutions. Maybe if you have ticked some feature to change resolution, and while it's ticked you use native, then perhaps that causes the problem, if you know what i mean.

SkyHigh, have you tried updating the Nvidia graphics card drivers?

Other easy things to try would be to unplug the monitor from power for 10 seconds, then start it; unplug/replug the video cable connecting the PC with the monitor, on both sides.

This downsampling is working so well, I'm trying it on my other games and will keep it for the moment with WOFF. It's really just another form of AA and seems to give improved 3d with better frame-rates in some games. Good for WOFF, Il-2 1946, BoBII. Not so good for FE2 and CLoD.
