Plus the moderators are Bad asses. You should have been here when we had the pair of "Adminssassins" (Cat & Electra). They were quiet, stealthy, and you never even knew they were there until it was too late. /nostalgia off/ BeachAV8R Yeah, I miss them popping in, along with many others who have left for pastures that I'm sure are not greener but are merely equivalent at best. I feel a bit bad about my first post here, was meant in good humor / tongue in cheek. I love this community.
I don't want people to think I was being rude. :P

I beg to differ. I've been hammered pretty good in the past for expressing LIBERAL political views. I frequent a LEXUS forum under a different nickname. I find the folks there to be very civil. It's called Club Lexus.

Plainsman, I've never seen anyone banned here for simply holding political views. If you're referring some sort of past PWEC issue, you do however need to back up your views with more than "I feel" or some sort of idea that everyone is out to get you. Rational, cool-headed, and supported ideas are more than welcome. I've learned more in there about the internal workings of European nations than anywhere else from some rather eloquent members.
The administration here is extremely level headed compared to the rest of the internet. I certainly couldn't hold my tongue at some of the things people have said like our admin crew has.

I appreciate the supportive responses. I do not make any defense myself because I let PWEC stand on its own.

You've not been down to the BoS section then? It has calmed down a little... ...or PWEC Now there is the place.. depending on your political minsdset you will either feel right at home or want to puke... Not too much in between.. In between doesn't really go over well there.. but that is a part of ythe beaty that is SHQ.. there is something for everyone here...

I like the PWEC At least you can vent at your pet peeve. Mine being politicians right or left dislike them all. And my other major peeve the EU.

Some of the members in PWEC know the moderator personally and actually hang out together in real life. Now for a moment visualize someone in PWEC whose views might differ from the majority views of the 5 most frequent posters in PWEC including the moderator.
Under such a scenario - good luck with any debate because together they will stack the odds against you and I have experienced a moderator supporting personal attacks against me and even engaging in them himself.
There is good moderation with good intentions - but moderators are also people and can fall into situations where they themselves join the gang they helped to create and treat other forum members unfairly

Haggart, going from past experience and reading over past threads the problem certainly isn't knowing the moderators... I like all of our admins and I don't even know most of their political affiliations.
Hell, today alone I got called out for what I would consider a relatively minor offense. They do their jobs and do them rather well. If there's any hint of rule breaking on their part I've never seen anyone deny being called out, and they've even kicked themselves out of the forum for specific conduct violations. It's not a place to blast out random opinions, and people are called out often enough for having baseless arguments.

Peally if you hang out in real life with a moderator of a forum somewhere - you can't tell me that the scales will not be tipped - it's human nature.

You can believe in whatever makes you happy, I haven't seen any hint of that happening at all.
For the record, I've never met a moderator in person and I've been called out on rule violations before. No one is plotting in the shadows out to get anyone.
