There is supposedly a Superman v Batman trailer on the way as well. Henry Cavill has finished filming all of his part and the movie wont be ready until Summer 2016

My son and I are already having heated conversations about the stupid movie and the trailer isn't even released.
He has entered The Cult of the Expanded Universe, you see, and I don't think there's a deprogramming clinic with a strong enough arsenal of therapists and drugs to tear him away from it.
The End is Nigh, you see, because Disney is going to ruin the canon of the Extended Universe. That Lucas himself was routinely willing to do the same with the prequels is somehow irrelevant - contradictions in the text of a religion only strengthens the resolve of the true believer when they're confronted by them.
I'm going to unleash my inner twelve year old and watch the film in that context, as it and all the other films were meant to be viewed, and probably enjoy the heck out of it.
At nearly 50 years old I won't buy any of the merchandise. The line between middle aged Star Wars fan and Brony is razor thin.

Doubtful. I think they'll be on the same level as the original trilogy. This is Disney after all. I dunno. They've done well with Pixar stuff. Some of those films get very heavy despite their lighter-fare trappings.

Anderson, the EU is pretty darn good. And come on, after Star Trek Into Darkness, we pretty much have to set ourselves up for disappointment.
