So, I was bored the other day and thinking about how great 688i was, and how we've heard nothing from Sonalysts since their initial announcement that they were coming back the other year. Shot them a Facebook message to see what was up and the response I got was that they'll be posting some sort of videos in the next several weeks.

That was a bit vague in terms of the timeline and what they'd be showing. So, it could still be sometime next year and it could just be the engine they've been building, but I'm quite pumped to see what they've got in the oven biggrin

I was turned down by Sonalyst when after promising something they delivered "Near Impact".

I thought they send a message out loud and clear to the sea gaming community.

I think they were pretty clear about it being an arcade game completely unrelated to any past or future simulations. Then again, I didn't follow that too closely because it was going to be that sort of a game.

How could Sonalysts put out an arcade game?! I'd think that'd be too boring for them folks. biggrin

Before the "Near Impact" Arcade game, they did the "DARPA ACTUV" game, that was a public survey of possible tactics, and it was good tactically and visually.
