I recently moved from an iPhone to an Android. Being the sort of chap that I am, I have dived headlong into my new fellowship. Upon frequenting several Android forums, I have come to the conclusion that SimHQ has the most respectful and inclusive community of any forum I've visited.
After wading through all the petty name-calling and hand-wringing of these other sites, I find coming here a complete breath of fresh air.
Thanks for creating an online presence where the drama of immaturity is the exception rather than the rule.
Cheers!
"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand." -- Ephesians 6: 12-13 KJV

Agreed, much better than most forums. It's really exceptional considering the size of the site and the number of members here.

I have to say I am delighted I joined Sim HQ. There seems to be a better and more mature reasoned point of view compared to other forums Plus the moderators are Bad asses. LoL

The occasional drama I see here and there has not deterred me from coming back to SimHQ every day since Dec 2000. May it live on!
The issue is not p*ssy. The issue is monkey.

You're old, I'm not old dag nabbit! SimHQ is one of the few mature "sane" forums I frequent. One of those hidden little gems of normal in an internet full of nutbars

Oh, I've been to PWEC. I've been a SimHQ member since 2003, but even with all the silliness we sometimes see in these gloried halls, it pales in comparison to the drivel I see in these tech forums, which are often populated by technically savvy folks with minimal social skills and emotional intelligence.

...or PWEC Steady on. He's just left the Apple walled garden. It must be something like when Neo wakes up in that pod in 'The Matrix'. Why you young whippersnapper, I oughta... Seriously, I am no Apple fanboi. I'm a PC-lovin, iPad wielding, Android-bearing, XBox 360 and One toting, Android-Wear & Tizen adorned bad-a** tech wizard. I love it all. My allegiance is to no one. I dig playing with cool 23rd-century stuff right here in the 21st century, regardless of who makes it.

...or PWEC Most of us can put the politics to the side when not in the area. I know I can, I've had guys who I've had differences with and yet I've still had a great time on the other forums with them.

Plus the moderators are Bad asses. You should have been here when we had the pair of "Adminssassins" (Cat & Electra). They were quiet, stealthy, and you never even knew they were there until it was too late. /nostalgia off/ BeachAV8R

I'm old. Just look at my username.

...or PWEC But at least when people go mental here, they are discussing important things (most of the time anyways ), and there are no jokes about your mom being so ugly and stuff like that. And when one member insults another or uses hard language, at least you can understand why and it makes some sense.
When you're feeling sad, just remember that somewhere in the world, there's someone pushing a door that says "pull".

I have to agree this IS one of the most mature sites I've ever been a part of even when something degenerates into petty name calling and nitpicking the latter is the exception not the rule and its a good community to be a part of.
I've got a bad feeling about this.....
