So I just completed finishing my basement. As soon as I save enough to cash flow a big TV for upstairs (we have only one TV in our home) I will be moving the upstairs one downstairs and getting an XBox One. What are your favorite games for that system?

I personally will get Madden and NHL and any decent sport game. I'm utterly ignorant as to what else there is that is good...either multi or single player. For adults or for kids between 7 and 16. They dont get to play M games (like Call of Duty) but I do.

I'm a bit over the top on that most people say. They can play Call of Duty type games when they've shot, killed and cleaned and eaten a decent sized animal, be it a pig or deer or even turkey and also when they've shot a hanging already dead animal from close up so they can see what really happens.

Anyway, any ideas for me or them?

Try Halo/far cry/Titan fall/ to be honest there ant a great selection out there at the moment.
Personally I am sorry I went for the XBox1 and not the PS4.

One game that both of my kids play is Minecraft, I don't get it at all. 80's graphics but they get lost in this game

Even my 13 yr old plays this for hours, it's COOP so they'll have 2-3 people building their worlds together.

If you get Gameinformer NHL got terrible ratings, 5.5. AI sucks even more than usual.

My youngest loves Titan Fall as do I and I also picked up Halo for our new XBOne they'll get for Christmas.

HALO MCC single player is awesome, I'm working my way through HALO CE campaign (probably 30hrs in) and for someone who never played HALO before, the gameplay holds up well compared even to modern FPS games. I plan to play the SP campaign for all 4 HALO versions included.

I haven't tried Multiplayer yet since I heard the servers have been having issues that they are patching each week, hopefully they will be fixed by the time your kids get it at Christmas but the single player at least is a blast.

My kids love Minecraft too, they spend hours and hours with it on XB360 and PC, I think it is the Lego of today's generation.

My middle kid would play minecraft all day if I let him. Is it on XOne?

And for the record, I've never shot or cleaned an animal and I got along just fine with M rated games
