I planned the cam in the pedals BF109. In my opinion, a hard center - the best to fly the simulator. But, given the view of virtual pilots using other pedals, I decided to return to the cam. For this I have been prescribed the appropriate fasteners.

Thank you VO101_MMaister.
He found a mistake in my calculations. Now the model of pedals is changed.

Thank you Slaw. smile

I really appreciate that mate

But my 109 pedals are perfect and I don't need an upgrade.
Nearly a year old and still working perfectly.

I totally agree, especially for prop sims

However the F-16 design looks amazing, you've really got it right there
They look fantastic.

The Jet Jockeys are going to love you smile

If I would have not built my own pedals earlier, then I would buy these anytime. Combined the existing build and material quality with the new centering, it will be the perfect pedal.

I would make several CAM-profiles and let the costumers choose what they prefer. Just like Milan did.
Also you should consider a damping option. It makes a huuge difference and implementing some cheap motorcycle steering damper is easy and cheap thing to do while you are still at the drawing board!

Steering damper will increase the cost about 50 euros. (the cheapest one costs about 30 - $ 40) Is it worth it? I do not know.

I am using damper on my pedals and my personal opinion is that it is definitely worth it. The result is a much more realistic load character. I can compare it to my real flying experience. The good thing that even these cheap dampers are adjustable so you can trim the effect to your taste.

You could prepare the mounting points and make a damper kit available as an extra for those who want it (for additional price of course). There are no pedals in this price range equipped with dampers, so I think it would be a hit.

Here's

. The steering dumper is not included in the kit. It can be purchased on Ebay (like this http://www.ebay.com/itm/Universal-Motorc...k-/331091458097). Cost about $ 50. The kit will include the mount of steering dumper and 1 or 2 extra cam.VO101_MMaister Thanks again.

... and if the design is flexible enough to permit the installation of one of those electronic steering dampers that are entering the market, I believe that soon, someone will interface it with the game and use Va info to proportionally regulate the load on the damper.

Maybe, one day, when I have a place to finally assemble a simpit for myself, the e-damper technology is mature.

Slaw,

I think it looks too nice to be true:) Although I would recommend you to try the setup yourself first before you inspire people to order the dampers.
The damping effect and the spring force need to be adjusted to each other. The damper is adjustable but it has its limits.

Tityus,

e-dampers certainly look interesting. But adjusting the damping effect is not the best way to simulate the load variations on controls. It is the returning force what should be regulated, just like force feedback.
