Guys, I'm really impressed by the screen shots of WoFF2 and after selling my 2009 OFF3 DVD to Seany65, think it its time to try something new on the WW1 scene. But I have some questions I like to know.

1]. I want to go for the download version but what happen if the connection has failed during 50% download. Would this bring any problem, can I re-download this later?

2]. Can this WoFF download be stored on a Disk as a back-up for later? Because, I do on a regular base a complete Windows re-install on my game SSD?

3]. Will the downloaded WoFF be compatible to the WoFF2 version?

4]. Same to the skinpack and Fokker Scourge are these compatible on WoFF2?

5]. I'm a regular Fee flyer, love this plane, but in RoF the Fee gunner is only active on defensive, so flying sneaky beneath a Rolands belly the gunner will never fire. Is this frustration issue also in WoFF?

6]. Is there a campaign mode available for the Fee and Morane?

The answer is yes to all of your questions.
I can't say anything about the Fee gunner as I have never flown the type...
I remember in older version (OFF phase 3) positioning my 1 1/2 Strutter, when I expended my front gun ammo,
so the gunner do his job... winkngrin

You should have no problems with downloads. The link stays active for several weeks, as I recall. Yes, burn it to a disc once you download it. Everything is compatible with everything; all patches and packs work together nicely.

Gunners will fire at any enemy target they can get a bead on. They are not just defensive.

The campaign is THE main attribute of WOFF. It has a fantastic, unscripted, dynamic campaign regardless of what plane you fly.

p.s. There is no such thing as WOFF2. There is only WOFF. The current version is patched to v1.26 but a v2.0 patch is coming in the future.

High over the Front
I ordered the DVD version upon release. Took a little over a week to get here, IIRC, but it was worth it to have a hard copy. I live in the country and my internet is via sattelite which works fine but its a big d/l.
Also d/l'ed the Skin Pack and Fokker Add-On and they both burned to a CD/DVD nicely.

In regards to observers my main experience with them is in a Brisfit and they appear to shoot just fine both offensively and defensively. In fact when you are chasing someone the observer will try to swing his guns around forward to give you a hand! Can't make it all it all the way around though.

I can't recommend WOFF strongly enough if you have any interest in WW 1 aviation.

Can't recommend it enough. And I can't even fly that often! But I've never been in a sim with a more authentic (and respectful) feel, and more of a feeling of actually flying. This is sure no arcade shoot'em up!

Guess my question 3 & 4 can only be answered by the devs or Beta testers.

dutch, WOFF 2.0 is not a new simulator, but a patch to WOFF.

It's not the same thing as the different phases of OFF were.
