When I'm in the mood to play a mindless driving game or something - and I plug in my XBox Wireless controller - is there a way to go in and selectively disable the inputs from my HOTAS peripherals (Warthog and CH pedals)? It is sort of a pain to have to unplug them (sometimes the inputs are detected by games like Dirt) - but I don't see any option other than to remove them altogether, which I don't want to do. I just want to disable them temporarily. Is there a way to do that? Regards, BeachAV8R

You could go to Device Manager and disable them which will save disconnecting/reconnecting System/Device Manager.......right-click and select 'Disable' Beyond that there is an app/plugin called 'devcon' (Operating System specific) which you can use to script disabling the devices you want.

I have a USB hub with switches on each plug. I keep devices turned off unless I need them. It is made by Sabrent.

Thanks guys..I'll see which one of those works better. I do like the idea of de-powering my Warthog since it is plugged in all the time. Hmmm...

So I was looking at this Sabrent 4-Port USB 3.0 Hub but I'm unsure of how much power draw my HOTAS Warthog would have - does anyone know if it would be a problem? I plan to have my Warthog throttle, stick, and CH Pedals plugged into it... Any ideas if that would be OK? Or do I need to get a powered USB hub? BeachAV8R

Mine is powered so I don't know if it would have enough to power them. I tried to plug all 3 of my Saitek flight panels but it didn't have enough power.

Ooh, I like that. Usually if you have more than 4 ports you need to go powered. Depends on the devices though, they might want to pull the full power the port can supply, so you probably did the right thing. I might grab that one pictured though, for games that can't ignore unused USB devices. Nice find.
