Hello all,
I know this is slightly off topic, and I'm sorry for hijacking the thread, but this seems the best place to ask:
I was thinking of joining combatace to get some mods and stuff for FE, FE2 and OFF3, but from what I understand, to create a free account you need a Facebook or Twitter account. I've not got either and I was wondering if there is any real advantage to paying for a month's membership over faffing about getting a facebook account so's I can get free membership of combatace?
Any help would be much appreciated. I also says sorry for Hijacking the thread. I have an account (Free) on Combatace and I don't log in with Facebook or Twitter

So I don't need facebook or twitter to join combatace? Do you download many mods and things from there and what is the limit they have on downolads? I can't remember the limit per day. When I played Strikefighters much i downloaded a lot of mods but them my harddrive broke so I lost all the files and soon after that I more or less quited playing Strikefighters but I still download from time to time if there is something that interest me.

No you don't, I never used FB or Twitter as I've been a member since 03 April 2005 (checked my own profile) and still don't. This should help as well: http://combatace.com/subscriptions/I've already subscribed so I may not see all the information that you will see (as I'm already a Premium Member) so I can only downgrade, but suffice to say that while they allow free downloads, chipping in always helps, and increases the amount of downloads.

No problem man, its just a newer way of logging in without always having to create another account really for convenience. Overall though Erik is a good person and the admins I've known for years (used to be a Moderator until personal events forced me to worry about myself more) so they're fair people.
